heavy heart..
Peter took the day off from work and is currently napping...beside Charlie. :) There's no place that I'd rather him be right now. We'll be heading over to his aunt's house this afternoon and it will be HARD.
Obviously in the most fragile state possible with a sweet boy on the way, so I was pretty hysterical this morning. I just spoke to her 2 days ago about meeting up next week to play.
Anyways, I have an exciting weekend with Miriam's bach/lingere party tonight and then I have my last baby shower tomorrow evening. There's alot of emotions swirling around.
Went to the doctor this morning....he says I'm still doing great and he sees me delivering before my due date. He will induce on me on my due date if I make it that far. He doesn't believe in going past....PRAISE HIS NAME!
So, pray for Peter's family as this weekend and week will be a rough, emotional one.......

Mango Limeade
I'm officially 33 and half weeks. However, I am consistently measuring a week to week and a half ahead. Like I said in the beginning, I knew my due date was a week sooner. :) So, oddly enough, I am almost 9 months pregnant. Oh the myth of actually just being 9 months pregnant. Try 10 people.
Titus' room is coming along!!! We had a little mishap with the crib last week. We got all excited to put it together and it was missing 3 pieces AND was the wrong color. NICE. Unfortunately, we bought it in Abilene. Scratch that, mom bought it in Abilene. Thanks mom. :) She took it back last week and they immediately gave us a new one! We put it together 2 nights ago and had a real live baby sleep in it last night! Our friends, the Lewis's have a 2 week old and a 1 and half year old and their AC went out last. So, we moved the mattress down and the toddler slept perfectly in it all night long! Thanks for testing it out for us! :)
I bought DREFT today, so I'll be washing his bedding tomorrow and then putting it on. Once we get our chair, which is another nightmare, then I'll start posting pictures of the room. I have some things to hang on the wall and buy. But, that's not quite on the priority list right now due to a broken down car. Let me tell you, when it rains it pours. We've been living the simple life this week in our fridge...but it's been fun.
July 4th came and went. I saw 2 movies. The first two movies that I've seen since becoming pregnant. Unfortunately, I have a rib situation, so sitting in a theater is NOT FUN.
My walking partner gave birth a few weeks ago, so I've been slacking. Luckily I only tipped the scale two pounds last week. My legs are always swollen. They currently feel like tree trunks. So, if I tell someone how much I've gained, they don't believe me. A man thought I was going into labor at Walmart in the chip section today. I was rubbing my rib...it was killing me. I said don't worry, you can keep shopping. :)
Titus continues to move like crazy. I wonder if he will ever slow down. I asked my doctor if it was a sign of the times to come. He just laughed at me. We get to finally have another sonogram in about 3 weeks. That will be the end of my 36th week. I'm assuming I probably won't see much, however, it will be nice to see him again since the last time was week 19!!
I've done a few art projects here in there, however, Peter is concerned about me and paint. For some reason in the past couple of weeks, I've had this ridiculous urge to sniff paint. Weird, I know. I've not followed through with his so called, "craving," but I wouldn't put it past myself. :) hahaa.
I'm not enjoying the heat, per say. I don't go outside if I don't have too. Last night Peter and I went walking for an hour at IKEA. Ahhaa..I need exercise, but refuse to walk outside, even at night right now.
Well, I guess I can stop rambling. Pictures of Titus' room coming soon and maybe a belly. Who knows...
The belly is not the problem, it's all the other body parts that I'm most embarrassed about. :)
Until next time!!!!

TICKER!
31 WEEK BELLY!Thursday, June 04, 2009
He has a name...
And that is what he shall be called. There is no real reason why his first name is Titus. Peter and I chewed on Jackson for a while, but then it just didn't feel right! I panicked. So, what did we do? We went to Barnes and Noble. Ahhaaaa. We grabbed a few baby name books. You know, the ones that say, "1000 Baby Names." We were overwhelmed with the task. we sat there for 2 hour and narrowed it down to Titus and few others. After milling over it for a week and calling him Titus, I decided that was it. Peter loves how strong this name sounds. Someone once said to me, "think of what his name will sound like as a man." So, that is just what we did! However, my friend Angela just told me that they read somewhere that it means "Defender." As they do, I pray that he be a defender of the Truth as Paul was in the book of Titus. Thank you Angela for that!!!! I forgot your little boy was named Titus. His middle name is Garrett, after Peter's oldest brother. He passed away when Peter was in the 3rd grade and we just want to carry on his legacy in the Abrigg family.
Titus, your dad and I are so proud of you already! We cannot wait until you are in our arms. Although scary, we know HE has chosen us as your mother and father and we couldn't be more amazed daily by His grace and greatness! We try to imagine what you will look like. Will you have your dad's dark curls, tan skin, and BEAUTIFUL face, or will you have your mom's fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair? Lord willing the first. :) HAHAaa...Just kidding. I've embraced my fair skin these days!
I'm currently listening to Christy Nockel's new album, "Life Light Up." So, powerful! GO GET IT! I always love it when she comes out with a new album. Her voice and her worship is just more than I can take. :) I actually had it blaring while outside while excavating our flower beds. TERRIBLE weeds. We have a party next Saturday night, and I am determined to make it pretty. I have no idea what I am doing.
Anyways, just wanted to announce his name. :) Little T it is. :)

Well...
We had a blast on our "baby moon" this past weekend. We headed out to Lakeway Resort and Spa on Friday around 2ish. We got to Austin in the middle of Friday afternoon traffic. NOT to mention that it was UT graduation weekend. Nice. So, we sat in the parking lot of 35 South forever. We finally got to Peter's cousin's house in South Austin around 6:30pm for a cousin cookout. It just happen to work out that 3 of Peter's cousins were all in town! His brother Kelly also came and joined the partayy. We had some excellent food and some great laughs! I got a glimpse of what motherhood will be like with a bunch of little boys running around. I asked Peter if I could have a margarita and he laughed. We headed to the resort around 10pm, not really knowing where to go. Thank the good Lord for iphones. Perfect directions! We couldn't see much at night, but I knew it would not disappoint! I was checking us in while Peter parked the car and brought our bags in. And, what do you know, here comes Ashlee's , Peter's sister, roommate from college and her husband! I was hoping I wouldn't see them with my pregnant self at the pool later the next day. :) THEN, the next morning, while eating breakfast, I ran into another couple that I knew from ACU. PERFECT! :) Luckily, neither party saw me in my "bikini" 7 months pregnant. Now, if you are judging me for wearing a 2 piece, you can stop now. The tankini's just don't work for this pregnant chest people. It's just plain ridiculous. So, Peter and I had a great time laying out by the pool that overlooked Lake Travis. I was jealous of all the boats driving by! We could even watch them out our balcony. While laying out at the pool "under the umbrella," I sparked up conversation with the girls next to me. And, low and behold, the girl 3 people down from me goes, "Hey, do you sing at the Village?" I was like HOLY COW! I'm wearing a bikini 7 months pregnant!! :) I laughed it off and continued to sit in the shade. Some how, my belly still got sunburned...even in the shade.
Saturday night we headed to Austin to goof around. We ended up at this really awesome Italian joint off of Congress. LUCKILY, Hey Cupcake's trailer was right across the street. If you are live in Austin, hopefully you know about this place!!!
Sunday we headed back into Austin fairly early to eat lunch at one of our longtime friend's from Abilene's restaurant. If you live or are ever in Austin, go to Cuatro's! It was fantastic. If you go, ask for Michael Bocanegra and tell him we sent you!! It's kind of an outdoorsy feel with amazing tacos and hamburgers. They are known as the "place to come watch the game," these days. They actually won best green salsa in Austin this year. I drank the whole bowl myself. We headed to Kelly's house after that to catch up. Unfortunately, I was miserable after lunch. I ate so much that I couldn't breathe!!!! It was hilarious. I just wanted to lay down. We stayed over there for a few hours and then headed back to the resort to hang by the pool for our last hoorah before we left Monday morning.
It was the perfect getaway for Memorial Day weekend!!
Tomorrow, I GET to have my glucose test. I think this baby boy is pressing on my heart, because I am having these CRAAZY heart palpitations this week. Thankfully I go in tomorrow so they can check it out. I hate it. It scares me! 27 weeks on Monday! WHOA!
Peter is working hard and "Little T's" room. Yes, I said Little T. I'm still not announcing his name so don't ask. I'll tell you in person! :) I'm ready for him to finish his part so I can start my decorating! :) But, he's doing alot, so I'm so excited.
Okay, well, I'll try to post some pictures. I'm a cruddy blogger. I was so much better a few years ago.
Bye for now!

Nobody told me...
That starting around 17 weeks I would no longer be comfortable sleeping. Every night is a new adventure. As a matter of fact, last night I took a Tylenol PM so that I could sleep. But, what happened instead was, I woke up to go to the restroom, drunk with a half broken shoulder. Yea, that happens once a night. Luckily, I actually found the toilet. :)
That most of my weight gain would reside in my chest. :) If you know me, you know I PRAYED against this HARD as enough weight already took residence there. :)
That I would have acne like a 16 year old all over my back, arms and chest. Luckily I've only had a few on my face. THANK YOU JESUS.
That my dog would get sick because I took her to Petsmart to get haircut a few weeks ago. Apparently, her kennel cough shot wasn't updated. I was up with her all night and then had to take care of her for 2 days. I cried at the vet, telling them I was bad mom.
That it would be extremely difficult to choose a boy name. :) Luckily we have one and we love it! Sorry blog, I'm not ready to announce it to you yet. We just nailed it down this week.
That if I didn't eat protein for breakfast then I would almost pass out every morning. Learned this one the hard way. Luckily, there was and has been no passing out.
That my doctor's office would call me 6 months into my pregnancy to tell us we owed on our deductible asap. Why didn't they tell me that when I got pregnant? Lucky for them, I'm going to check and see exactly WHO I pay, them or the hospital.
That I would love my husband more today than I have ever before...I can't keep up with my love. :)
That Baby A would move 24 hours a day! Seriously! He doesn't stop!!! As a matter of fact, yesterday at my doctor's appointment, he kept either kicking or punching the heart doppler. My doctor, who really doesn't show much emotion, started laughing.
That my tailbone would hurt after sitting for only 5 minutes...even on a soft, comfy couch. Tailbone, did I break you? No, apparently baby is already resting on it. Weird?
.............................................................................................................................................................
OKAY OKAY...no more complaining! I just think some of these are really funny. On a more serious note, I'm really enjoying this part of my pregnancy. I prayed hard for the Lord to change my heart. To be honest, I hated the first trimester...and a few weeks into the second. I think I might have been a tad bit depressed. I hated that I felt that way, but when you go from healthy as a little lark, to sick as a dog for 3 months....it's hard to think about anything but your misery.
We've been busy getting the nursery ready. We struck out 3 times with paint, and decided on a color we'd used before. HHAA. The first coat is done....
Peter is going to lay some cool floors in there soon, and I can't wait! I'm not going to give it away quite yet!! :) Sorry, sorry. The bed is sitting in a huge box in the hallway, the dresser is still in Abilene and the armoir thing is in the guest bedroom. We've got stuff everywhere prepping. It's funny that we're putting off all of the other projects to do Baby boy's room. :) It's exciting.
Peter and I are taking a little trip this month for a short Baby Moon getaway. As much as we wanted to travel out of state, we felt we wanted to save our money. We promised each other we wouldn't be that couple that didn't travel as soon as baby comes. We love traveling and hope we get to see many more places!
I'm still terrible about taking pictures. Sorry....
Maybe I'll get better soon.
There's that for an update. Hope you took those "pregnancy woes" as funny. I truly am grateful to be carrying this human being in my belly. :) It's a surreal feeling and I'll forever be thankful.
Praying for all of you moms out there and those of you who are having trouble getting pregnant. I pray peace over you this weekend and miracles for all of you.

21 weeks!
Here's a fun project that I did! I found a calender at Paper Source, cut it up, and put it in frames! Antique birds. My mom says she's scared of birds. Oops. So, there you go!!! That took me FOREVER!!!!! I remember why I don't do this very often anymore. My rear is numb and I'm hungry. :)
Hope this tides you over for a while!!

15 and 18 weeks
OKAY! Only two!!! But still, I know you're all wanting to see them!!
This was almost 16 weeks. No, I don't have eyelashes without mascara. I'm a blondie, what can I say! That's Natasha in the middle. She is 3 weeks ahead of me. I'm so glad to have a best friend to go through this together!! They are having a little boy. Natasha, don't be mad for posting a picture of you. I'm sending you these right away! And, that's Josh Drew. He's almost full term. :) I had just cooked Pioneer Woman's lasagna and it was a hit!!! The BEST lasagna I have ever had!! It will not disappoint a hungry crowd!!
Here's me today. 18 and half weeks. I was about to take Charlie for a walk. We haven't hung that mirror yet. That's one of the ones Peter built last weekend! It's pretty bright, however, it's growing on me. The other mirror he built will be on that blank green wall behind me. Hopefully the crown molding will go up soon too...PUHLEASE ignore the not finished wall! My stomach has definitely grown!! 5 more days!!!!

Ketchup/Catch-up
I'm a stay at home "mom" now and I haven't blogged in two weeks. I have had ALL the time in the world to do so. HOWEVER, there is really nothing blogworthy to write.
Well, maybe a few things. We're at 18 weeks today!!!! That last pic at 14 weeks is about what I look like today. That was a food belly then. :) I'll post a pic later this week when I actually look presentable.
First things first, YES, that was me on "A Blooming Business" on TLC. However, I'm a bit disappointed with the fabricated drama they created about me. Oh well, I guess I should have known. If you know me well, you know I wouldn't have just "missed" a big day at my job/ or forgotten the toss bouquet. There was so much more footage and who knows where that all went. :) If you want to know what really happened, or if you care, then you can call me.
It was pretty fun to see myself on tv. They did a really good job on the show..despite the fabricated drama.. Save it for your mama! It aired 3 times this past weekend and I don't know if it will air again. It was just the pilot. Apparently you can go vote on TLC's website if you want more episodes.
I just got back from Chicago yesterday! It was a SHORT trip. But, totally worth it. My sister, mom and I shopped until we dropped and ate ALOT of pizza. :) Totally worth every bite! We were really only there for a day and half. It started snowing really bad on Sunday morning so we left our hotel at 6:30am to get to the airport. My sister and I's flight didn't pull out of O'Hare until 11:15am! I bought a book. :) Remember I don't read. It was a toss up between "Shopaholic and Baby" and Twilight. I chose the first. I'm over half way through it. :) It's hilarious. I haven't read any of Sophia Kinsella's books, but they are great! I might have to read all of them!
Well, the big day is a week from today!!!!!! Any guesses??!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?? I have my guess. ;)
I'm feeling much better than the last time I blogged! Praise the Lord! But, getting Charlie food still makes me gag...and it's dry dog food.
Peter is doing great. We had a bit of a health scare with him a few weeks ago, but we found out it was only REALLY bad acid reflux. Which, I could have told you 3 doctor's visits and an UPPER GI later. :) He's on medicine and doing much better. He built a few things while I was in Chicago. I was totally surprised when I returned. I'll wait and post pictures of those.
Luckily I don't have to do laundry today...our dryer broke and we won't have another one until Wednesday. DARN! But, I do have to go to the grocery store!! I promised Peter I would be a frugal grocery shopper. :) I wasn't very good with our food money in March. Oh wait, it's still March. :)
The only pics I have are on my phone...but I'll download them soon.
Sorry I'm not as good with pictures as you might thing. In fact, I've always been terrible taking pictures. Hopefully things will change when our child comes!!!!!

What is wrong with my blog?
Well, I just woke up about 2 hours ago. It's 12:30pm. Insomnia has set in and I was awake from 3:30am until 7 this morning. So, I got up, took a bath, ate a fiber one pop tart and went back to bed. Slept until 10:30am. Now I'm on the couch in my pajamas watching Pure Country. Oh the crush I used to have on George Strait!
A cold front blew in this morning with some rain. I'm glad it's raining. However, it makes me want to stay in my pajamas all day. But, alas, I can't. Peter and I are going to see High School Musical at the Bass Hall tonight. Our friend/former roommate is in it! We're so excited. Well, as excited as you can be to watch HSM. :)
We had a great weekend! We helped my sister and her husband move into their new house. They were almost completely moved in on Saturday night so we got to have a cookout. My mom was in town so we of course brought Charlie over to play. Sunday we slept in until 10. Thank you time change. Well, I can always sleep in, however, Peter never does! So, I was thankful he got to sleep in. I congratulated him with brunch at IHOP! :) A new one just opened up down the street. Then we went to Dick's to get Peter some new soccer paraphernalia for this upcoming indoor season. After that we decided we didn't want to be inside because it was so pretty. So we picked up Charlie and went to Lake Grapevine! We had a great time. We felt as if we deserved some Bahama Buck's afterwards.
Monday I had another headache...geezz. But I managed to muster up some dinner with no groceries. Then last night I made some King Ranch Chicken. Yum!
Baby A is still growing at a rapid pace. After that picture I posted last Thursday night, of course my stomach went down. However, there is a visible baby bump.
I'm still dealing with nausea which is really frustrating. However, working out seems to make it go away for a while. Charlie and I went for a run/walk yesterday. If felt great!
Well, there's your update for the week. I have nothing picture wise to post. So sorry...

If dogs and fetus' could talk...
Charlie, our yellow/white lab is the most precious dog on the planet. I've actually lived under the same roof as her for a year and she has morphed into my best friend. Now, I know some of you are rolling your eyes, but cut me some slack here. Charlie and I spent almost every waking hour together last week. And, then on Saturday, I actually had to leave the house to sing at church. Peter came to the 5 service and left her outside. The sun was shining but it was pretty cold. Anyways, when we got home, she started acting very weird. So weird that we decided to take her to the emergency vet clinic at 9 on a Saturday night. Her cry and bark were very raspy. She was retching like something hurt or something was caught in her throat. She didn't perk up at the sound of hungry, outside, or treat. So, we immediately packed her in the car. She road laying down the whole way there which really gave us a sign that she didn't feel well.
We get there and she is hyper..of course. She wants to leave immediately. She hates unknown places. I think she knows where she is. The vet tech called her a beautiful dog and checked all of her vitals. No fever. Then the bald headed doctor came in and she barked at him. It was hilarious. He was pretty loud and abrasive and I don't think she liked it. But, then she warmed up to him. He asked us a few questions and then felt around on her. He then came back with some wet dog food and she scarfed it down like it was the most amazing thing on the planet. He told us her throat might hurt and she might have gotten a cold from the weather change.
We get her home and attempt to make her lay on the couch. She finally relaxes for a while. I stay up and watch The Dark Knight begrudgingly while Peter FALLS asleep on the couch. We go to bed at midnight. We let her sleep with us because we are worried. She wakes me up every hour ON THE HOUR shivering for 6 hours straight! I was exhausted come morning and I think the Lord was giving me a taste of parenthood. There was nothing I could do make Charlie comfortable. It was devastating!! I come home after singing 2 services and we all 3 take a 3 hour nap. Praise the Lord she slept. We got her to eat dinner finally. But then yesterday she had a few episodes. I got brave and stuck the thermometer up her rear. Her temp was normal.
So folks, I think she have a "case" on our hands. "Drama Dog" as Peter calls it. If I could just get her to tell me what's going on in that little brain of hers!!!
Moving on....
Baby, why do consistently make me hungry? Every 1.5-2 hours..I start gagging and then HAVE to eat. Then....like clockwork, the same scenario happens. Baby, how do you eat so much food to be such a little tike!!!!
Baby, why do you make mom's nose stopped up every single night? Why do you make her sleep with her mouth open and then have her wake up and not be able to even lick her lips because of the dryness?
Baby, why do coarse hairs keep appearing in weird places all over your mom's body rapidly? I mean, have I really let myself go that much?
Baby, why does your mom not know how to trim her toenails, shave her legs, pluck her chin, and wash her hair anymore?
Baby, your mom and dad love you so much. As much as we know how at this moment. Every day in the past couple of weeks I have gotten a glimpse of what life will be like when you are here. Last night we read in our prayer book about your sexuality. It made us so excited to find out what you will be! In less than two weeks I will have my 16 week appointment. Dr. Wai says he will give me a sonogram if I am antsy and itchy to see you and attempt to find out what you are! Are you kidding, why in the world would I pass that up!!!
Baby, I hope you have your father's beautiful curls and long eye lashes. I hope you have his smile, his passion for the Lord, his hard work ethic, his willingness to love men who are hard to love and his LOVE for rap music and soccer. :) Even if you are a girl...haaa. Errrr, maybe I will retract that statement one day.
Baby, I hope you love your dog Charlie as much as we love her. We know she will be a great big sister, although we think she will be mad at us for a little bit. But, once she warms up to you, then she'll love you just as much as we will.
Baby, I hope you come to know Jesus as your Savior and seek to love Him as much as He loves you...I pray that we will be parents who will wash you in the water of the word and encourage you in Him daily...even on the hard days!
Baby, we can't wait for you to be here. :) You can make me as hungry and as nauseous as you want as long as you keep growing strong and healthy!!!
No one is here to take my picture right now, but I definitely have some belly to show. :) So, I'll make Peter take it tomorrow and post it later in the week!!!!
Bye for now!

Update!
Jill, Me, Chavon, Lindsey and Kristen. Sorry Kristen that they caught you not smiling with your teeth! :)
Of course we stayed up way to late and laughed really hard! Saturday night we played guitar hero, pop culture trivia (I suck at it), and SPOONS!!! I won after a two hour game. There may or may not have been biting involved. I won't mention any names Jourdan. :) I almost went into early labor screaming and laughing.
We returned early Sunday morning and I took a bath and went to bed! Peter came home and cooked me a hamburger outside and then we watched The Oscars. I really enjoyed them this year! We watched the whole thing!!
Monday I cleaned the house-ish, started the laundry and went to the grocery store. I cooked dinner for the first time in a VERY long time. Roast! Then Tuesday night we had Natasha and Thomas over for pork chops, blueberry sauce, sweet potatoes and asparagus! I made Brittney's Mimi's apricot bars! They were a hit!!
Then I woke up at 4 in the morning yesterday with THE WORST headache of my life. I got out of bed around 10 to take a shower and started throwing up IN THE SHOWER! So, I went back to bed. Peter came home around 6 and forced some food down me..which wasn't pleasant and then more tylenol. I barely slept and then woke up with it again today. I took two benadryl at around 10 this morning and slept till 1 when Peter came home to rescue me. He took the afternoon off to take care of me. He forced a sandwich down me, put me in the bathtub and then took me to the chiropractor! I already feel 80% better. I'm looking forward to dinner with some girlfriends tonight. PRAISE THE LORD!!
Here's some funny pictures from Christmas!
Craig and his kiddy sweater. Hilarious!!!!
Well, that's about it for now. Monday I'm going to start taking pictures of my 14 week belly. There's really nothing to see right now. :)
Until then. I hope these pictures tide you over.
The end.

12 weeks!
It's been a ROUGH couple of weeks. In fact, last week was my first week to throw up. And you know what, I threw up almost every single day. I think I might have had a bug on Thursday...and haven't really bounced back. Poor Peter...he witnessed it a few times. In the bathtub, on the bathroom floor?!? I mean I felt like a little kid. HELPLESS. But, I think that part is over. Praise HIS name it wasn't like that the whole first trimester. I go to the doctor this afternoon for a check-up. Happy President's Day! Yea, I have an unexpected day off. We worked our tails off this weekend due to Valentine's Day. WAY worse than a retail store at Christmas time....let me tell you!!
I'm going to start taking pictures of myself this week. I know you've all been waiting. I'm getting my hair cut on Thursday, so that will probably be a monumental day. :)
Peter and I didn't really celebrate Valentine's this year due to all my sickness and me working. He did give me a sweet card. We celebrated last Friday night early at Pappa's Steakhouse. We hadn't been on a fun date since before Christmas, and I was CRAVING a steak. I didn't even get Peter a card!!! Flowers, well...I work at flower store. Although I never get tired of them.
Our house is coming along. In fact, Peter finished putting up most of the baseboards this weekend. I bought some furniture to semi-complete our sitting/dining room that I am very excited about. I'm sure you can guess where....of course Weir's. We buy everything there. Luckily I caught the President's Day sale this morning. I'll soon post pics when we are almost finished. Now I'm itching for some new bedding. I know I know....ridiculous.
Well, I guess you'll all have to stay tuned for some pictures later on this week. I'm spending the weekend celebrating one of my favorite girl's birthday at Possum Kingdom Lake! Hallelujah for a semi-vacash!!!!
Anyways, Happy post Valentine's and President's Day everyone!!
OH YEAH! HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY LAURA AND BRITTNEY!! LOVE YOU GUYS!!

TAGGED
The rules are as follows...
1) Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design.
2) Show the 7 winners names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they were tagged.
3) List at least 10 honest things about yourself.
1. I take at least one bath a day. And, I get in the bath as soon as the faucet starts running. Then I basically am finished with my bath as soon as the tub fills up. You think this defeats the purpose and wastes water, but NOOO, it actually keeps the bath nice and warm! Sometimes I take two. I prefer them over showers ANY day. In fact, I have a VERY hard time going to sleep at night unless I've taken a bath. MY POOR SKIN is so dry these days. I wonder why. These days, my favorite thing to do while taking a bath during the evenings, is to eat grapes and bathe. Don't ask.
2. I cussed at a student when I was teaching middle school. It was a classroom full of 45 middle school aged boys and things were getting out of hand. This one kid, who thought he was a bad a--, proceeded to make fun of another kid in a pretty harmful way! I was so tired of it. So, in front the class, I asked 'said' student why he was being such an A--. As soon as I did I knew I was in trouble. The whole class busted out in laughter and said, "I'm telling." Of course I proceeded to say, "Well, I guess you can tell on all your coaches too!" I knew they cussed at the kids on a daily basis. NOT that I'm justifying my actions. I felt terrible and ended up confessing it to my principal. He laughed and said he'd cussed much worse that day. He told me he had my back. Thanks Mr. Moreno.
3. I'm afraid of throw up. I've been afraid of it since 1st grade when Christy McCann threw up in the sink in Mrs. Hood's class. I ran home from school bawling and of course "thought" I was sick. That was the first of many head games I had played with myself. So, now you can imagine me pregnant. I will do ANYTHING to not throw up!! These days, dry heaving is part of my life. It's pretty ridiculous. If I get to hungry, dry heaving occurs. It's a game I play in my head. RIDICULOUS I know. Thanks to Zofran, it hasn't been too bad.
4. I used to stalk my "what I didn't know 10 years later" husband in high school. Yes, my senior year of high school, I conveniently would drive by his house on my way to and from school every morning. Which meant I had to pass the football practice field too. HHAAAAA. One time, we got in a 'fight,' well, it wasn't a fight. Basically I was in love with him and had told me earlier in the year to help hold him accountable to not date anyone the rest of his senior. That, in and of itself is hilarious. Anyways, I was mad at him because he started dating someone. So, I stopped talking to him. Well, that posed a problem seeing that we sat by each other in English class every other day.....so, one night he just couldn't stand it anymore. I used to have pre-cal study groups at my house once a week. Really it was just a ploy to copy every one's homework and all the hot guys came over..including Peter. Well, this time I didn't tell Peter about it because I didn't want him to come over. He found out of course and came over without his book, paper or pencil. So, he just hung out and laughed with every other guy there. So, he waited until EVERYONE was gone so he could chat with me. He asked for my forgiveness for dating someone...haaa. But, of course I didn't have the guts to tell him I liked him. But, he hugged me and said he never wanted to lose me as a friend and felt lost without talking to me in English.
I find it VERY funny now looking back.
5. I was the smallest girl in middle school compared to all of my friends. In fact, at the beginning of 8th grade I weighed 65 pounds. The funny part, I had boobs. I had boobs bigger than all my friends, but hadn't quite crossed over into womanhood yet. I was the only one who NEVER had a boyfriend and was always the 3rd wheel. I enjoyed it for some odd, awkward reason. I used to go to the movies with Brittney, Kelby, Sarah and Devin and would sit in between the couples. That was back when people used to make out in theaters. You can imagine what I was surrounded by. :)
6. Currently, thanks to Kate and Lauren's guidance, I am now using the Neti Pot. Google it. Kate's trick of using the Neti Pot at night followed by Breathe Right strip and a humidifier helps me sleep. Who knew that pregnancy would make me so congested and stopped up while I sleep. It's really hilarious and sexy if you ask me. Last night I had on a breathe right strip and was eating grapes in bed. Peter was like, what is that noise? Are you eating? Yes babe, I'm eating. Are you surprised? Then he just cracked up laughing at me. He said he loved me Neti Pot, breathe right strip, dry heaving and all. Thank you baby.
7. My family is obsessed with dogs. I've grown up loving them and will always love them. From that, Charlie, our dog has become spoiled rotten! It's simply ridiculous. She follows me everywhere. She lays in front of the shower and stares at me and then sits by the bathtub with her head on the side of the tub. It's so funny. She is a grand kid. In fact, she saw all 4 grandparents today. They all love her and she makes herself right at home when she's at their houses. I'm not sure what's going to happen when baby A comes along. Everyone says you neglect your dogs, but I don't see Charlie letting us do that. Unless she refuses to be around us. I will be very sad if that happens.
8. I used to pinch my stomach when I got nervous or sick. Which resulted in hickey like marks all over my stomach. When I had to sing or was in any kind of competition, you knew I was nervous by looking at my stomach. I don't do that anymore, however, my mom thought I could have used some counseling in that area. :) haaaaa.
9. I was the co-tennis manager with Brittney my junior year of high school...you know, we only did it to get the letter jacket. We didn't want the ugly red one. We wanted the red AND blue one. Funny that I had choir patches all over an athletic jacket. Don't judge me....
10. I used to watch Days of Our Lives everyday of my life. In fact, for as far back as I can remember my mom taped the show. So, we'd come home every afternoon and watch it with her. hahaa. I obviously don't watch it anymore, however, Bo, Hope, Marlena, John, Stefano, etc..are all still on the show.

Happy Friday!
It's been a good week. I honestly think I'm a week ahead of what my sonogram said. The first time I went to the doctor he told me my due date was August 25th, which was right on with what I guessed. Then, we had our first sonogram and he said I was measuring 8 weeks on the day I was supposed to be 9 weeks. My mother-in-law retired from sonograhy and said that the first sonogram will never be as good as the rest because the doctor is doing it. I started laughing, but she said, they're just pretty quick about it and most aren't as accurate. This has rung true with several of my friends. So, I could be almost 11 weeks or almost 10 weeks today. One week difference feels like an eternity!! I think I'm just ready for the first trimester to be over. I think things are looking up! I haven't been that nauseous since Sunday! And, boy Sunday was a rough day!!
We hired a maid until the baby comes. I know, sounds crazy, but because Peter and I both work 30 minutes from the house, it seems like an impossibility to keep the house clean. We have done so many home improvements since we've moved in that the dust has accumulated everywhere!! You'll laugh when I tell you this, but she was at our house from 2:45pm yesterday until almost 10 pm!!!!! I felt so bad for her, although she was supposed to be there at 8:30am. Hmm, so, I guess I don't feel too bad seeing as I paid her extra for cleaning the window seals.
She did a fantastic job. She is 23 and has 6 kids!!!! Peter says he wants to help her out as much as we can. (I personally thinks he likes a spic and span house and knows I won't be able to do it as well as her while pregnant.) Thanks Peter.
Yesterday I ran home for lunch to let Charlie out. I come home to find a WHOLE roll of toilet paper completely shredded, a box of my Preggie Pops, and a decorative A from Anthropologie completely torn up! I have to say I was shocked and mad!! I've never spanked Charlie, but I did yesterday. I popped her so hard on the nose and put her outside. I was mostly worried about her chewing up every single piece of the preggie pop candy. She seemed to unwrap each individual one and leave the wrapper on the ground. When I got in the car, I teared up. I was so sad that I had hit her!! If you could only know Charlie..she is the most sensitive animal I know. Those precious ears bend all the way back and she hides!! Peter and I decided we haven't been keeping her as active lately because of the cold. So, last night we bundled up and went for a walk. We headed to the middle school across the street and ran her to death! She was so tired when we got home! She crashed out. You can probably guess where she is today. Yes, outside.
Bottom line, we have a spoiled ROTTEN dog.
This morning I finally felt uncomfortable in my jeans. It was kinda sad. I wore them anyways and will probably have to unbutton them by the end of the day. I'm trying to hold off on the pregnancy pants as long as I can people.
Moving on.....thanks Amanda for the recommendation on the prayer book during pregnancy! I got in the mail yesterday and am SO excited to read through it. Apparently I forgot this morning.
I sure have been watching alot of television lately. My shows of choice are Gossip Girl, Privileged, American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, LOST, and Private Practice. Peter and I have had such a good time watching American Idol this season. I love watching him laugh hysterically at some of the people and expressions that the judges make. He really gets into it. And, then tries to mimic them later.
What else...ohh yeah! My sweet friend Sarah fell on the ice on her driveway on Wednesday night and broke her leg!! She had surgery pretty quick after that on Wednesday late. I will be heading down to see her this evening to try to cheer her up!
That's all I have for now! TGIF!
SORRY NO PICTURES!

Sad and Happy and Sick
A few things.
Let's start with the hardest part....
My parents dog, Carly, who is a 15 year old Dachsaund is missing. She's been missing since Friday around 2:00pm. The most horrible part is that my parents cleaning lady let her out in the front yard to go to the bathroom...which is where she normally goes, but always comes to the door....well, she forgot about her. 2 hours later she realized it and panicked. She went on a search for about an hour and then decided to call my dad. He couldn't get out of surgery so he called my mom. She rushed home and then they continued to look for her until around 8 last night. Signs are posted everywhere, phone calls have been made and doors have been knocked on. Several people in the neighborhood said they saw her, but she is nowhere to be found. She's not even at the pound. My parents put an add in the paper this week as well.
Poor little Carly is overweight and old. Bless her heart. I have a really hard time not thinking about it being freezing cold last night and her being out there by herself. My mom is putting on a happy face, although she is deeply devastated. She loves that dog with all of her heart, and Carly loves her.
We are hopeful! But, I'm sad. I can't wrap my mind around it and can't stop crying. It's borderline ridiculous. I laid in bed with Charlie, our yellow lab, this morning and just snuggled and loved on her until 11am. I was depressed thinking about it.
So, moving on...we have to move on and believe that someone has her. They'll probably soon realize that she's fat and her breath stinks and take her to the pound...we hope anyways.
Another sad story that I can't seem to shake is Kelly and Harper's story. Please, please, please beg for the Lord to intercede in that baby's lungs!!!! She was born last night at 9lbs and 12 ounces with pneumonia. Kelly had a lot of trouble getting pregnant and had a wonderful pregnancy. She started a prayer blog for women who are also having trouble getting pregnant. Please intercede for her, Harper, and the women on the prayer blog. You can find that link on her blog as well.
Okay now on to the HAPPY.
UPDATE::
Went to the doctor on Monday and the baby was measuring smaller than what he originally thought 3 weeks ago. So, I'm 8.5 weeks today. We saw the heartbeat and the little bambino. Surreal and crazy.
I can't help but share this, although I'm a bit nervous. But, I've decided I can't worry anymore about it. I'll be 9 weeks pregnant on Monday. Yes, we are having a baby!!!!! It's surreal and all I really know is that I'm sick. Not as bad as most people, but bad enough. Every day I push through and remember those women who have trouble getting pregnant. Know that I'm praying hard daily for those who can't. I realize the blessing and I am more thankful today of my life and my body than I ever have been before. Due date is around August 31st!
Here's a little picture of how we told our families on Christmas Eve. What a FABULOUS Christmas present!! I'll say!!!!!! Please excuse our missing baseboards in the this picture. Thanks.

Nothing much else has been going on except work, sleep and attempting to eat. We actually got out and went to a movie last Sunday night.
Christmas was wonderful. We started off the week at Peter's parents here in the metroplex and then headed to Abilene for 3 days after that. We did alot of eating and sleeping and playing Wii. I guess that's just about what everyone else did. I got angry with the drums on rockband a few times. When are they going to get women's songs? Ridiculous.
New Year's was fun too...as much of it as I was awake anyways. We spent it with close friends downtown. The tiredness of pregnancy hit that day like a FREIGHT TRAIN!! I was not expecting it and it basically took me down. I laid in Rachel and Craig's bed and was out from about 10:30 until 11:59pm. They woke me up for the countdown, and then I got right back into the bed. I couldn't even handle it. We got home around 2:30am and then I slept all night and the rest of New Year's Day. PATHETIC!!! .
Well, I guess that's enough information for now. Pray for my dog Carly, Harper and Kelly, and this pregnancy.
Love you all!!!!!

December 11th.
Kidding. I'm supposed to be putting out fires right now, but well, frankly, I need a break. Typing...that seems to be my quick fix today.
Right now I'm listening to Kallie's Christmas playlist on www.playlist.com
Thanks Kallie. Currently I've heard The Simpson Sisters, Faith Hill, Frank Sinatra, The Pussycat Dolls, Christina, Coldplay, and so on.....
I'd like to post a pic of our Christmas decorations, but, then I'd be embarrassed by the dust layer and the unfinished crown molding job. We just got our tile and backsplash finished yesterday. I think Edward and Ignacio were smoking the "you know what" in my bathroom. I called Peter and he told me to tell them I should join. He was kidding, obviously. I think they were scared of Charlie because she's still wearing her cone. Her foot is about 95% covered back with hair, but I still don't trust her. Little stinkpot.
Our anniversary is Monday. 2 years. WOW!! It's gone by so fast. We're celebrating tomorrow night. If I told you where then you might show up. Kidding. Monday night, our real anniversary, we are both working T.O's Christmas party. I feel like it's probably okay to say that seeing that it's been advertised all over the radio. I've been up to my ears trying to find the correct Christmas balls and silver sticks. Shoot me in the head. I'm over it. Who's out of Christmas balls on December 11th???? :)
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent it with Peter's family here in town. We had about 27 people at their house! Alot of eating...I made myself utterly ill. I mean, Peter was lauging at me. NO self control. I admit it and I know there's a 12 step program out there to help me. Thanks.
I really want to send out a Christmas card, but frankly, I'm too busy constructing everyone else's here at work! Isnt' that sad?????? Yeah.
We went to look at Christmas light last Saturday night in Highland Park. I was TOTALLY not impressed. Everyone talks about how fabulous they are over there. I guess it's a sign of the times. People don't want to pay for Christmas lights. It's a luxury item. :) We didn't hang any up either so I have ZERO room to talk. But, I do have a wreath, that I made by the way, and a little lit up tree on our porch. And, I can't forget the awesome Happy Holiday's mat either.
Our color scheme for this year is Fuschia, Gold and Turquoise. It fits with the decor of my house. I just didn't see Red and Green all over my house.
I have this http://www.cymbidiumflowers.com/store_products.view.php?id=212
precious arrangment sitting on my desk. You should buy one for your house too. :)
Okay, before I get fired, I should go. Happy Anniversary my love!! Sorry, I'd rather be sentimental in person. :)
