???????!!!!!!!

I didn't know what to put in the title line, punctuation is what you get. I don't think I've ever typed "punctuation." Hmm...well that's twice now.

It seems as if the weeks have flown by and I have forgotten to update my blog.

Oddly enough, I've been VERY busy here at work! Praise the Lord! When I'm not busy, I get sucked in to the internet and then my eyes go crossed reading blogs.
Last week I was at a health fair for 3 days and then I got Friday afternoon off! So, just a busy little bee!!

Peter and I haven't really stopped going in the past couple of weeks, and won't really until mid-September. I have been a hostess of 3 baby/wedding showers this month and so, well, that takes up time on the weekend. This past weekend I had a shower on Friday night and one on Saturday morning. After that, Peter and I hit the road to Abilene. We felt like we needed some R&R and some good family time. Of course good family time means good food! Peter was also dying to see Charlie, his dog. Sunday morning we got up and road bikes for about an hour and half. I did'nt look near as cool as Peter did. See previous post. But, my mom did provide me with some biker pants with the built in cushion seat. So, I road my $150 10 year old Walmart mountain bike, and Peter road his bike. I won't mention how much his cost on here. We road a little over 10 miles. We road to ACU around the campus and then back to my parents. It felt good on Sunday, but yesterday, my rear bones were killing me.

Speaking of yesterday, I had the dreaded woman doctor visit. It's always much easier than I anticipate leading up to it. Either way, it sucks. I made Peter listen to me talk about it yesterday. He couldn't help but laugh at our misery! :) hahah.....
Either way, I like my doc...thank goodness.

What else...my mom came in town last Wednesday. We took a quick trip to the Southlake town center on my break and did some damage. Oh how I love when my mom comes into town. :) She SPOILS USSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Mom, thanks for all the cooking and the desserts this weekend..and for the extra 5 pounds gained. ;)

This weekend we are traveling to Houston to visit Peter's grandparents. I'm sure you remember them if you were at my wedding. They were the ones dancing. :)
It's their 60th wedding anniverary on Thursday. We aren't looking forward to the drive, but we are looking forward to some quality Gammur and Pop-Pop time.

Well, my blogging time is up. I promise for some pictures on my next post. Until then, I'll just keep myself occupied looking at Brittney's pictures of Quinn. :)

Peter........

This is what I came home to the other night. :)
Disclaimer: I have been given permission to post these on my blog. :)

Peter is getting a new bike for his birthday next month. He's actually getting it early....like this weekend! He is so excited. Problem was, he was buying this bike from his friend Jobe and he lives far away. They are meeting to "ride" and then he's driving back to Dallas. So, he needed to feel cool for Jobe and get the appropriate "riding" gear.

There's only a few that can be caught dead in Spandex. I guess Peter is one of them.

I might have mistaken this outfirt for a "wrestling uni."

Ridiculous...

The final product.

I told him he should have gotten something more flourescent to be a real biker. He said no, that wasn't very cool! I told him that he HAS to buy a reflector vest then. :)

I was tagged by Lauren C. and Angie B!!! I don't know know how to do links. I'm not as blogger savy as I look! :) hahaha

The Rules:

1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules. (**if you’re a non-blogger, you can email them!)
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

My eight random facts and/or habits:

1. I have several nicknames among my family members. It all started in the 7th grade when I was in Spanish. My spanish name is Mollita. From there, it's been several forms of Mollita. Right now it's Leelow. Don't ask. I really don't know how it came. My mom also has nicknames for all of our pets. I choose not to disclose those at this time. Along these sames lines, when I'm on the phone with my mom, I morph into a different person/voice. Peter always looks at me like I'm from the weirdest family on earth. He giggles. I have no explanation of this either.

2. I worked at a bakery in Abilene, Texas the summer after my senior year of college and while I was student teaching. Because of that, I never had any desire to eat sweets. This quickly changed when I quit working there. Because of this bakery job, I "donated" several cakes/cookies for many wedding/lingere showers. Thank you to this "no named bakery." I promise I didn't steal! I promise!!!

3. I have a birth mark in between my eyebrows that only shows up when I am crying. I have an identical one on my right butt cheek and right shoulder. People always ask me if's a hickie. Funny how one would give me a hickie on my right shoulder huh?

4. I get adjusted at the Chiropractor 3 times a week.

5. I had HUGE crush on my husband my junior and senior year of high school. I used to drive down his street at least twice a day. I realize this is stalkerish, but I have to admit it now because it makes of a great story. Don't you think? :)

6. I used to get made fun of in middle school for having the biggest chest. It was weird, seeing as I was the smallest girl out of all of my friends, without a boyfriend, and I hadn't hit "puberty" yet. TMI again. But, it seems hilarious now.

7. I rarely want to brush my teeth before I go to bed. I haven't really done this my whole life, but Peter insists. I always compromise and swish with mouthwash instead. :) It never fails, as soon as I get into bed, the first thing Peter asks me is if I've brushed my teeth!!! GEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!

8. It took me 5 times to pass my EXCET test to be certified to teach K-12 music. Each test cost 80 dollars and you had to make a 70 to pass. 4 of the 5 times I made a 69. Finally, I passed with a 73 on my 5th and final time. Funny how I'm not teaching anymore. Too my defense, this test was 250 questions long and the contents included band, choir and orchestra. Let's just say, I'm not to smart in the band/orchestra/music history area okay!!! I didn't study for any of the test and by the grace of God, I still passed with 73. Praise-a-lujah!

I tag, CHRISTINE, SHAREE, ED UGAN(Elizabeth), and Thompson!!!

Lakes, Wasps, and More

Peter and I went to the lake this weekend with some friends. I did'nt take any pictures. What was I thinking?
But, I did just take a picture of my finger. I got stung by a wasp for the first time this weekend at the lake. Right now, it looks like I have a case of the "Sausage Finger." It's actually gone down since this morning. I got a shot of antibiotic and I'm hoping it helps VERY soon.

Other than my swollen finger from the wasp bite, we had a fabulous weekend full of eating, sleeping, eating, skiing, eating, tubing, eating, laying out, eating, sea-dooing and more eating!!
The family that lives at the lake house does not mess around when it comes to food.

Yesterday morning, in a worship service, not at my own church, I had to sing "In My Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride. I said yes because I was getting paid. Is that bad? Nahhh.....I would have sung it for free I guess.

As far as the "staying away from the blog bit", well, I failed....miserably. I am going to try again this week. Except this time, I am going to limit myself 30 minutes in the morning and 30 in the afternoon. Quitting cold turkey was too hard.

Well, that's all I have for now.
Lauren, I'll post my 8 things this afternoon during blogging time. :)

FUNKytown

Yup, I've been in sort of a funk as of late.
I'm sure it's been brought on soley by my actions. I realize that I have a choice whether to act like a Debby Downer, or be a Chipper Charlotte.

Nothing much has been going on. I am still working. Most days are spent trying to avoid the computer at work, seeing as we have about 18 patients a week. When you calculate that we work 35 hours a week and each patient is here about 15 to 20 minutes, well, you do the math. I finished a book at work last week, and the new one I began reading Monday at the gym. I don't know about you, but I have trouble doing reading while doing the Elliptical machine. Although, the time passes by much quicker, I just can't do it.
So, basically, I could be sitting here at work, reading the word, journaling and praying. But, due to the fact that a computer is sitting inches from me, I have discipline issues. There is plenty of time to do so, yet, I choose to play Tetris or read people's blogs.
So, I am making a commitment here, right now, between all my blogger friends and the Lord to not even click on the internet for the rest of the day today, Thursday or Friday.
My joy has been robbed due to my own lack of disipline and obedience. I choose mindless reading over relishing in the Word or talking with God.
I choose the Internet over Jesus. How said is that? Lord, forgive me for not loving you enough and for ignoring you.
So, until then, you may not see or here from me through the blogging world until next week.
Bye.
