COPYING

I'm copying Annalee's blog today because I LOVED her idea! ;) Well, I love her ideas in general.

FOODIES!!!!

Oh and Lauren, I promise I'll do my tag AFTER this. :)

1. WHOLE GRAIN TORTILLAS FROM CENTRAL MARKET. I realize these aren't the exact picture of the goodness that I put in my mouth yesterday for lunch!!!! GO GET THESE.

WITH THIS..Organic Hummus. I usually prefer the Spicy Red Pepper version. OH SO GOOD.

Okay that's enough food for today!!!

Enjoy. :)

AND YOU CAN'T forget this. I slice them up and put them on top of the hummus.

Followed by this. YUM!! Why are orange bell peppers so stinking good!!!! I, no lie, ate this meal 4 times last week. And...again for lunch yesterday. I've been on some sort of eating healthy kick.

But, then I had these on Friday night.

FRIED PICKLES ARE THE DEVIL. I can't remember the last time I ate these. It must have been back in college or high school when I made frequent trips to Sonic. I don't believe they sell these anymore. Or, better yet, it's best that I don't know if they do.

Followed by this.

Is Shrimp Cocktail healthy? Probably not, because I stole hush puppies off of Peter's plate to dip in my leftover cocktail sauce. Unfortunately after eating this, my fingers smelt like fish the rest of the night. But, it didn't stop me from going here for dessert...

Yea. Peter dropped me off at the Town Center to run in and grab us a few cookies for our movie. When he came back around to get me, I was standing out front minding my own business. I had already endulged in 1 cookie. He was laughing his head off at me for some reason?
I totally gave away that I had already eaten a cookie. It was ALL over my face..much like this girl. I Had NO idea. :)

Okay, let's continue on what I ate last week. Cut me some slack...it was the weekend!

Oh wait, I forgot. I went HERE on Saturday night.

I couldn't help but eat my weight in chips and salsa....but then, they HAD to bring out the chips with melted cheese on top. Let's not forget the blended jalapeno's that I got in my eye after touching it. :) It didn't stop me though.

Okay moving on...

Here's what I eat every Thursday. Some days alone, some days with friends.

I start off the meal with these....oh my beloved Edamame. You are so good to me. :) You supply the protein my body needs. It's a good thing, because I've eaten you 4 or 5 different times this week. Thank you Central Market.

I then order these:

California Rolls! Yum! This picture doesn't really look that appetizing. It's fine though, becuase Sushi Sam does it up right!!!

I also order these:

Cucumber Rolls are the BEST with these on top.

GINGER with soy sauce and just a DAB of the green stuff. I shall not mention your name as you've caused some embarrasment when eating alone at Sushi Sam. :)

April Showers Bring May Flowers?????

Here's me opening the blinds this morning after a LONG night. If you can look past the flash you will see a tree...in half.

There we go...I opened the blinds better. Yes...that is OUR tree...on our neighbor's roof. Awesome.
Seriously. AND, she had NO IDEA it had fallen on her roof!
Look at that TOTALLY ALIVE TREE...now dead on her roof.
We think it got struck by lightning. HOW FREEEEEAAAAKKYYYY IS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile, in the middle of the night...I was in the hallway, ducking and covering, while Peter and his parents were hanging out in the living room with candles. They weren't scared. But, I WAS. I called my dad in Abilene to check the weather for us....and then I called my sister who lives 10 minutes away...she was awake too. Boy what an exciting night in G town. :)

House Revisited....

I'll start off with my favorite room in the house. I love this bathtub with ALL OF MY HEART!

Peter's sink. Notice the pulls. :) Aren't they precious.
A view of my vanity area....so I can vanitize. what?

Well, here's the outside again...all of our flowers are in bloom. Beautiful! There's our friend Luke..chillin in our rocking chairs. We STILL haven't replaced the lights on the outside, so please ignore them. Thanks.
Charlie had to be in a picture. Look how green the grass is!!!
A view from the street on to the driveway. At some point, I will probably drive into that tree when backing out of the driveway. haaa..
My doormat. It was $10 at Hobby Lobby.
Here's some of our bedroom. It's still not finished....I'm sure you knew that from the plastic tubs. I will also cover those lamps with something cool.

My parents gave us this piece of furniture. It matches the bed Peter made us. Yes, Peter made that bed if you didn't already know. I'm not sure what I did on top of it. Like I said..it's a work in progress.
The leapord velvet chair and mirror.
Peter made me a necklace holder. We painted it and it's ready to go! I forgot how many necklaces I had until I untangled them all. It was a CHORE!
My closet..it's pretty organized...but could still use a few more clothes to fill the space. hahahaaa!
This is the shower curtain in the guest bathroom downstairs. I love it.Here's a view of the entertainment center and fire place. I'm not sure what I did on those bookshelves...but it works.

Here's a blurry view of our couch/rug. I need a chair...but that will have to wait as well.
Here's the entryway. Another $10 Hobby Lobby rug.
Here's the panels!!! If you click on them you can tell how they go. There is pink in the middle one and it really ties the two together. I'm really in love with them. :)
My coat rack in the dining room. I've still yet to figure out how to decorate this room.
I'd like to put a rug underneath the table. That's a battle I'll have to have with Peter. He doesn't want to cover the pretty floors. :) I'll talk him into it soon. I need a mirror and a few other things to make this room a bit homier. Is that a word? Here's a view of the kitchen. I love it.

The breakfast table. We bought this table at an Estate Sale for 50 dollars. Our task this weekend is to stain it. ;) I'd like a round rug here too..but the aforementioned battle will have to happen here too. :)
A view of the sink/bar area. Don't you just love my M and P hooks! :) Oh and the tulips I bought for 6 dollars at Tom Thumb. It's a goal of mine to have fresh flowers always. :)
A view of the fridge/microwave area. I of course have my Perini Ranch cookbook out. It's important for times when I want to make a rub for steak....etc.

I still need to take pics of the shower curtain Peter's mom made me. Also, a view of one of the guest bedrooms upstairs. I'll refrain from taking pics of the roommates bedrooms. They probably would be okay if I didn't. hhaa..

I still have a few things to hang...but it's coming along!!!

Peter and I had an extremely busy weekend. I plan on taking a nap today. It sounds glorious right about now!!! Anyways...I'll be back at the end of the week with a few more pics.
Hope you enjoy!!!

Charlie...and Meg.

All about Charlie.

Charlie is quickly settling in to her new home after being away at my parents house for the last year. She LOVED being at my parents house because she had 3 other dogs to play with. Well, 2 really. Carly, our dachshund doesn't play. She sits, eats and sleeps....and barks at the other dogs.

Here is Charlie at the lake with Peter a few weekends ago.

Here is Charlie laying with her new friend Sadie a few weeks ago as well. She LOVES other dogs. It was so cute watching them play.

Here is Charlie asleep underneath our kitchen table at dinner the other night. She had her head laid on my mother-in-law's feet. It was hilarious. Charlie HAS to be wherever we are. Since Vivian is home most of the day, she has quickly become her new best friend. :) (Please ignore our un-stained kitchen table that we got for $50 at an estate sale.) Peter said he would tackle that this weekend. :)

And here is me attempting to take her picture this morning. She was being SO cute. She woke me up 8 minutes before my alarm...which really makes me angry. :) She got on the bed, which she really isn't allowed to do and started licking my armpits. WHAT? She has an obsession with armpits and lotion. LICKER! And then she started licking my face. Apparently, Peter was in the kitchen. She didn't want to get up when he did, so an hour later when he was eating breakfast, it was time for her to get up.

Maybe if you click on the picture, you can see all of the dog hair that has collected on my rug. It is so nasty. Pretty soon I will have to throw it away. I've resorted to a lint brush. Thanks Macy.

Speaking of Macy...

Macy, her daughter Meg, and I went to Which Wich for lunch the other day. It was beautiful outside. Meg was the star of our party. Here's a few hilarious pictures of her.

I sure hope my child has as much personality as Meg.

We're settling in quite nicely in our new home. Things have yet to appear on the walls. Why is it so hard to bang a hole in a new wall???? It's so depressing! :)

Here's some fabulous fabrics I bought yesterday to cover some big canvas to line my stairs. Our entryway and stairs have a 20ft ceiling. It needs some decoration big time. I show the final product when it's finished.

First, here is a pic of the fabric I chose for our upstairs bathroom shower curtain. It's chandelier's and I LOVE IT!!!!!! It's pretty bold, but well, you know me. I'm bold. :) It goes perfect with the towels I already have.

Here's the first panel of the 3 that stair step up the wall.

Here's the second one. This small piece does not do it justice. It really blends the first and the 3rd. I know you're probably thinking I'm crazy by now. :) well good.

Here is the 3rd. I LOVE this fabric. It's a deeper yellow almost gold color. I'm so excited to hang these up!!!!

Of course there were SEVERAL other things I wanted to buy...but the cash budget called and told me to put my money back in it's envelope. :) a.k.a....Peter Eugene. :) He keeps me in line.

Last weekend we had a slumber party over at Natalie and Josh Drew's. There were 4 couples. It was the most fun I'd had in a while. The next day, we all came over to our house after picking Miriam up from the airport for her 5 hour layover. Do you know what we did for 5 hours??? We played Monopoly. MAN do people get crazy during Monopoly. I especially enjoyed Natasha's negotiating skills and Peter's game face. People become liars during Monopoly. I wish I had taken pics. Miriam and Natalie, you'd better send me your pics. :) It was a great day. Sunday we went driving around looking at houses with his parents and then went to a cookout. I held a 6 week old baby the whole time and was in HEAVEN. After that we headed to church. We came home to another home cooked meal. I'm going to get fat with Peter's parents living with us. :)

This week has been a bit of a bummer. I won't go into details for fear of blog stalkers. :) But, it's on the uphill..it's Thursday and I LOVE the weekend.

There's my update for the week.

I promise I'll post some pics of the house when I get some stuff hung up. :)

Wednesday.

Maybe I will get around to posting pics of the house...semi finished.

I'd like to wait until we get stuff hung on the walls before posting. But, right now I'm too busy sweeping up white dog hair. :)
I love that dog. I really do. She has the best personality.....but, the hair is AWFUL! I told Peter I would do every chore in the house for the rest of our lives if he'd keep the dog hair swept up. He said that was up for negotiation. ;)

I've decided I need a sabbatical from blogging at work. It's taken over my free time and I am mad at it.
So, we're breaking up. I have no discipline.

I don't really know how long it will be...so, I'm apologizing now. So, signing off until the next time......whenever that may be.....

Until then, pray for some discipline and for some sweet time with the Lord....while the computer is right in front of my face. Argh.

Bye.

some wedding pics....

Left to Right - my mom's younger sister Leslie, my cousin Jenny, her mom Joy (mom's older sister), mom and me. Pardon my white legs. I wish you could have seen my shoes at the Bridal Breakfast. They were so stinking awesome red patton leater pumps!Sister Sarah and I before the wedding. She was pretty chill because she had already seen Daniel. I on the otherhand was just about to sing while the parents walked down. For the first time in my life, my microphone wouldn't work. I sang two verses and then the 3rd it finally came on. So, I repeated the 3rd just to appease my mom. :) I was flustered and started splotching. If you know me...you know I splotch.
Sarah's photographer making her look silly. :) Her dress looked like clouds on the bottom! It was so angelic!
Peter and I posing before the wedding.
Some of the bridesmaids and I riding on the red BMW van on the way to the reception.

And, well, I have no other pics. I was trying to be a good Matron of Honor and be at my sister's beck and call. So, my camera got the back seat on Saturday night. I'm hoping I get more pics very soon!
I didn't even get a pic of Sarah and Daniel! Geez. I'm ridiculous.
It was a packed weekend. On Sunday, about 25 of Peter's family members came over to our house for brunch and an Easter Egg Hunt. I was basically a zombie most of the time. That day was a blur. Then my sister-in-law and her two little girls along with my other 2 nephews are staying with us until Wednesday for Nana Camp. I don't think my house will ever be the same. I'm kidding. It's been fun. I came home at lunch to find the kitchen table turned into a tent. They were eating hot dogs on a blanket. It was hilarious.
Today is such a boring day at work. We hardly have any patients and on top of that, it's been pouring down rain all day. Makes of a sleepy day of you ask me.
Hope this tides you over until next time.
Bye.

In A Fog...

I thought the title of this post was appropriate seeing that I could barely see the car in front of me on the way to work this morning. The fog was crazy!! It's sort of lifted now.

Well....we're making it. I'll just hit some highlights.

Thursday: got to come home at noon because of the ice and snow. Picked up Chick-Fi-La on the way home. Peter was home too!! Ate my Chick-Fi-La and was excited to make some head way on packing up our room. 30 minutes after eating...I started feeling bad. Great. Just what I needed. Needless to say, I spent from about 2pm-8pm hanging out with the toilet...and I had a 101 degree fever. I was one sick little girl. Everything was out of my system by 8ish and I was about to be in a very drunken Phenegran stupor for the next 24 hours. I finally fell asleep around 9 and literally slept until 6:30pm on Friday. I think I might have overdosed on the nausea medicine. ;)

Friday - 6:30pm. Peter and his mom woke me up and drug me out of bed to start packing up my room. OH heavens. I don't remember much....but I remember falling asleep on a double bed mattress in our new bedroom on the floor.....still hadn't eat anything at this point.

Saturday morning - you can imagine my energy level at this point. Thankfully, Peter's mom locked me in the bedroom so she could finish waxing our floors. I took my time getting up (3 hours) and unpacking my clothes. It was nice. We moved until about 3pm. Not so bad!
I finally ate a turkey and cheese sandwich from subway. SCARFED it down. Got some energy to start unpacking my kitchen.
Went to bed at 9ish. I don't remember because we had to move the clocks.

Sunday morning - 6:45am (it's still dark???) Confused. Take a shower and get ready. Peter and I head to Abilene with the trailer. Get to Abilene around 11am. Relax a bit before the girls come over for the shower. Get ready for the shower. The rest is a blur....I think I stayed in the kitchen and washed dishes the whole time. I was very nonsocial. Very unlike me I tell ya. There were even TONS of babies there! I couldn't muster up the energy to even hold a baby! Man I'm sad!
After the shower was over....my mom, dad, Peter and I spent the next few hours loading the trailer and putting the tarp on. Of course it would rain on the way back to Dallas. Finally got back to Dallas around 9:30pm. Got home to see Larry and Vivian in 2 brand spanking new white rocking chairs from Cracker Barrel on our front porch with bows on them!!!!! I was so stinking excited! We then unloaded the trailer.....and went straight to bed. I forgot about CHARLIE. We brought her back too! :)

Monday - woke up...got ready, went to work. Worked my TAIL off because I was out on Friday. My desk was a tornado. A doctor covered for me. haaa.. :) At lunch, went to the bank, went to get my top altered for my sister's wedding and then to Subway. Took it home and then unpacked more until 2:30pm. Back to work. The rest of the day is a blur. Except for the fact that I came home to a home cooked meal thanks to Vivian! :) I did do the dishes after that...but it was actually fun!!

So there. My wrists are tired. This week will be a week of getting the house settled and prepping for Sarah's wedding. You probably won't here from me until next week. Don't be mad. :(
