Here's me opening the blinds this morning after a LONG night. If you can look past the flash you will see a tree...in half.
There we go...I opened the blinds better. Yes...that is OUR tree...on our neighbor's roof. Awesome.
Seriously. AND, she had NO IDEA it had fallen on her roof!
Look at that TOTALLY ALIVE TREE...now dead on her roof.
We think it got struck by lightning. HOW FREEEEEAAAAKKYYYY IS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile, in the middle of the night...I was in the hallway, ducking and covering, while Peter and his parents were hanging out in the living room with candles. They weren't scared. But, I WAS. I called my dad in Abilene to check the weather for us....and then I called my sister who lives 10 minutes away...she was awake too. Boy what an exciting night in G town. :)

The apartments that we just moved from had trees struck by lightening everytime it rained. I wanted to move so bad because I just knew I was next. SCARY!
We were awake all night too! I can't believe your beautiful tree got struck! I can just picture you ducking and covering! I was scared too, but never thought to duck and cover! I checked on Cam about 45 times in the 2 1/2 hours we were awake...she slept through the whole thing. Glad your house is okay...wish I was there with you. I could use a GOOD laugh to ease some of my school stress!
Love ya!
Glad you stayed safe! I LOVE your home - it's such a dream! I'd LOVE to know some of your decorating secrets...email me if you get a chance. Thanks for sending the picture! I'm glad you're participating in our little contest!
I am totally laughing right now. I can only imagine that you and Sarah would be up on the phone during the storm scared to death. Meanwhile the rest of your household remains calm. Crack me up. Sorry your tree fell down. That is not so good. I'm glad you guys are safe!
Yeah, that storm was crazy, but we didn't get anything as bad as trees split in half! Holy cow. That is nuts! So glad your new house is in one piece...and that you were safe ducked and covered in the hall. You make me laugh--it didn't even occur to me to duck and cover. ha ha!
Wow, so glad that tree did not hit your house, crappy it hit your neighbors. Just looked at the picture of your house, I love it, love it. You did a good job decorating it.
OH MY GOODNESS! It was SUPER scary. Our power went out for 4 1/2hours. NOT FUN! Glad y'all are ok!
Oh my goodness! I can absolutely believe that! That is SO funny. I wonder how Danny boy held up during the first storm with Sarah?! Lol.
HOLY CRAP!! That is just inches away from YOUR House!!!! SCARY!!

Crazy storms, and I hate that your tree fell like that!
I cannot believe that TREE!!!! Nuts! We had all the kids in our bed that night! Ugh!
I think I drove by your neighborhood last week! I was driving somewhere in G-town and saw a neigborhood and though...hmmm...I bet that is where Molly lives!
That is so heartbreaking about your pretty tree. Not a very good housewarming gift from mother nature!
