30A Vacay....July 2011
We spent 4th of July week in Florida on the beaches of 30A. I had never been before, but it was worth the 15 hour drive. I think everyone and their dog were going to this strip of Florida that week. It took us 2 extra hours. I little munchkin did awesome on the trip up and back. However, he slept 45 minutes there and 35 back. Haa! Somehow, he stayed very happy. We stayed from Saturday to Saturday. It was glorious. Here are some iphone pics to document our trip. Blogger is acting crazy, so I'll post more later.

Father's Day, 911, etc.
Yes, we had to call the infamous number last weekend. Funny, but not.
It had been summer day filled with swimming, no napping, eating out with friends, and a few fits. We had just gotten out of the car and Titus decided to throw a fit for his dad because he didn't want to go take a bath. Granted, I would have let bath time slip, but he'd been in a very public pool earlier that day. Ew. Anyways, Titus manages to throw himself on the floor and hit his head. He immediately starts the kind of cry where you hold your breath for a really long time. He lets out a little breath and does it again. Then all of a sudden he passes out..in his daddy's arms. Terrifying, to say the least. Our first thought was that that he had hit his head so hard it made him pass out and get a concussion. Peter laid him on the bed and started yelling his name and patting his cheek. I, calmly, no that's a lie, frantically run to get my phone to call 911. I come back while it's ringing and we're both yelling his name. He finally opens his eyes and closes them again for a second. Then he opened them again and starts screaming at the top of his lungs. A GLORIOUS SOUND...let me tell you. So, 6 large men show up at our door. They all come in and they take one look at him and know he's okay. I was totally overwhelmed by all of these very large men in our house, so I'm sure Titus was too. He refused to stop crying. We knew he didn't have a concussion. There was only a little knot on his temple from falling.
But, just in case, we treated it like a concussion and checked on him several times in the night. I may or may not have put him in bed with us for 4 hours...but then when I realized he was fine, put him back to bed. It was a terrifying night. I recovered much quicker than Peter did. He was shaken up to the point of tears. I cried while telling my mom on the phone what happened, but other than that, I was able to bounce back pretty quickly. That, my friends, is only because of the Lord's grace. I had to keep reminding myself that evening that Titus is on loan to me and that he is not mine. But, I felt a huge weight of what it would be like if he weren't around. I'll just stop right there.
Moving on...
Is this not the most hilarious picture you have ever seen? :) Ace Ventura anyone? I told Peter I was going to tweet this pic. At church on Saturday, he had like 20 people come to him and tell him they died laughing over it. :)

I love this man. He is such an unbelievable father. He even allowed me to lead worship this past weekend...that's alot of hours away from home. Instead of having time for himself, he selflessly hung out with a whiny toddler who needed more sleep! We had a low key Sunday, and Peter got to work on his shed for about 4 hours. He built it from scratch and it looks awesome. Titus painted him a box that we will use for years to come for Father's Day gifts. Peter asked for some freezer beer mugs...so I of course obliged and got him a Dallas Maverick's one and a Texas Rangers one. I also bought him a sketch pad. He's always dreaming up his next project, so I thought I'd get him a book so he could keep them all.
We are gearing up for our vacation in a few weeks. I just can't stand it that it's so close!!!!! I turn the big 31 this weekend and then we're off!! Hoooray!!!!!!!
Titus is growing like a weed. He is obsessed with cars at the moment. He'll play with them for HOURS upon end. It's so fun to watch his little imagination grow day to day. He can currently count to 12. We're working on our colors. His favorite color is red. Everything is red at the moment. He's becoming more and more social. This weekend after Peter picked him up from class at church, he said, "Bye friends!" Peter couldn't believe it. I was so proud. He cries when we drop him off. We've been to the pool several times already this summer. However, it's a bit of a beating to lather both of us up with 50SPF before heading out. Luckily, it doesn't bother T so much. We are NOT getting sunburned this summer. Here is what Titus wears when we go to the pool. It may or may look like a wrestling outfit. :) haaa!!! I can't decide if it's too small. It doesn't bother him one bit though!

Here's a few pics from my phone:
After a 3 hour nap. Those curls are amazing. We even trimmed them a few weeks ago.
I went to my niece's dance recital. It was hilarious...however, it made me appreciate little boys! Haa!!Well, there is your blog update for quarter! :) The spell check is not working. So, don't judge me.

What I've been doing.
I have a new addiction or two. :) Pinterest and Polyvore.
You can see my Pinterest here.
So, maybe I need an intervention. But, it has spurred on my creative genes...Peter's too.
Lots of projects going on around here for fun.
May has flown by. We've been having fun. I've been working, playing, and being a mom. Titus had croup for a week at the beginning of May. That was NOT fun.
However, Mother's Day was precious. Titus made me a homeade coffee mug. :) Peter said he had to pray hard for creativity for Titus' gift. It was perfect.
Titus has been busy helping his dad build a shed in the backyard, climbing on Charlie, and playing with cars and choo-choo trains. He is hilarious these days. We have full on conversations often. My mom said we should put him in school. My response to that was, "I wasn't in school at his age." Mom says, "He's smarter than you were." Umm, thanks mom. It's probably true. The kid can count to 12 all by himself. What? He's currently obsessed with counting things....all....day...long. It's hilarious.
In the meantime, to tide everyone over. Here's some of my Polyvore inspiration boards. I just figured out how to do this a few days ago. I'm thinking about vacation at the moment. Fourth of July just happens to fall during our vacay.
Ohhh dreaming again...

Things to love in April
And much more..I don't have any pics of Peter and I! Isn't that always the case? Geez. I'll try to be better at this.
We have had a great April so far. Busy!! Mostly me I guess. I've been working part times for a company in Dallas who does wedding and events. It's tiring, but fun! I've also had the opportunity to sing in a few wedding as well. Thank the Lord for the extra moolah...all the while, using the gifts he gave me. We managed to throw in a garage sale too! I'm thankful Peter has kept Titus on the weekends alone while I did all of this crazy stuff. Haa! We have pretty slow, low key weeks. I love that. Then we hit the ground running on the weekends.
Titus is "growing" like a weed. Sort of. :) He was in the 25% for weight coming in just under 25 lbs. He was in the 50% for height. He's very busy and I think Rota virus set him back in the weight department. He weighed 25lbs at his 15 month appointment and managed to lose a few ounces by his 18 month appointment. He also had a throat infection in March that caused him not to want much to eat. Other than those to illnesses, he eats like a champ! He normally eats whatever I put in front of him, thankfully! The Dr said he didn't look underweight at all! I guess he's just going to be short like his momma.
He is saying just about everything. Every once in a while words slur together and I'm like, huh? Haa. He's currently obsessed with counting pairs of things. I gave him a cracker at the Dr. the other day and he looked at me and said, "2 crackers please?" She just laughed. He will point at the objects and say "1, 2...5, 6." I'm not sure where 3 and 4 or but it's hilarious nonetheless.
He has started having nightmares lately. I spent the night at my parents on Saturday night after a wedding because it was closest to drive at 1 in the morning. Peter said he woke up screaming 4 times! I felt so bad for Peter, because he rarely does that! We were all 3 beat on Sunday! He is such a snuggler and a lover though! This causes problems during the day, because he would be content sitting in my lap holding my hand all day long. He consistently walks up to me and says, "Momma, hug?" I always accept. :) He has said I love you to me once. I just about melted me into a MILLION pieces.
He's doing better in the social department. It always takes him a few minutes to warm up to alot of kids at once....and even to his best friend Jacob if he hasn't seen him in a week. It's pretty funny.
At night when you rock him, if you aren't singing, he will start Jesus loves me or Twinkle, Twinkle. It's hilarious.
He currently says , "Ohhh Lord," all the time. Guess who's fault that is? Mine. The other night he was running around naked outside. He stopped to pick up a piece of chalk and squatted down. He started to pee, looked down and said, "Ohhh Lord!" We laughed forever about that one. Whoops.
He is OBSESSED with Mickey. I have to limit him to morning only Mickey TV time. He'd watch it all day if I'd let him. He will pick up the TV changer and say, "Minniedaisy or Mickey?"
One day we'll take him to Disney World. But, I think we'd all be overwhelmed at this point.
We're extremely excited about our vacation to Destin this summer with friends. I can hardly contain myself for the 1st week in July! Goodness!!!!
He is loving the park this month. He isn't afraid to go down ANY slide! This makes me nervous, because he just takes off and I'm at the top of the play thing!!
Anyways, we're debating about Mother's Day Out for the fall. I have mixed emotions about it because he doesn't go to school till he's 6! Stinking August birthday! I just feel alot of pressure to do it, however, I feel like once you start school, you don't stop! Any thoughts on this mommas?
Well, I guess I'll end this post. It's all about Titus anyways. I hope you weren't bored. :)
