That's what I used to call it.....I don't know why.

In honor of Valentine's Day, I thought I'd introduce you to some of my favorite sweets.

Duh.....here's Peter holding our new niece back in July. Irresistible I tell ya.

My friend Mindy reminded me how much I love Nothing Bundt Cakes. Yes, what a creative name I tell ya. They only sell Bundt cakes here...small and large. And, they have a wide assortment of cake stands. (Tiffany, if you're reading this, you should go.)
They are located in the Southlake Town Center on the Carroll side if you're interested. They have ALL kinds of flavors. I had the cinnamon swirl and it was magnificent! If you're looking to lose a few, don't go. :)

I LOOOOOOVE Hot Tamales. Love them with all of my heart. Well not all of my heart. Geez.

JD's Chippery's COOKIES
I couldn't seem to find a website or a picture on the WWW of this amazing cookie factory! That's what I call it. It seems that every time I go they are always right out of the oven!!!! This place is located in Snider Plaza off of Hillcrest in Highland Park. You have to try it!!

SOUR PATCH KIDS! YUM. These have an always will be one of my favortie candy's. I used to get these when I would go to the movies. Now, I know how much they actually charge you when you buy food at the movie theatre. So, I stopped, regretfully.

These little gems look gross here on my blog, but let me tell you, I used to work at this very well known bakery in Abilene, Texas the summer before my last semester of college. I had a great time. And, much to my surprise, I was never hungry for sweets while working there. Hmm...but that all changed when I quit and got a real teaching job. There are many more things there that I love, but the Lemon Bars and the THUMB PRING COOKIES!!! UGHGHGHGHGHG! No words to describe them. If you live in Abilene, then you KNOW about the thumb prints! :)

I brought a package of these to work last month. They were wrapped in pink and were gone in a matter of days. :) WHOOPS.

I guess that's all that I will make you salivate with today....

Happy Valentine's Day!

Peter and I had a nice dinner and some wine at our favorite Italian resturant in Lewisville, Parma last night. He had a prior commitment this evening, and I wasn't going to make him miss.

A funny thing I was reminded about today.

S.A.D - Single's Awareness Day! Sadly, I probably used this term several times in my day, although now that I'm married I realize how not-so-important Valentine's Day really is.

But, I love it for the novelty sake anyways. I got flowers! :)

Molly's Favorite Things

These are a few of my favorite things.......(Sung to the Tune of the Sound of Music "Favorite Things." You know you're singing it right now. :)

Because I'm sleepy and trying my hardest not to be bored to death, I thought I'd post some of my favorite things. I'm copying Leigh Ann. I loved her post.

Ladies and Gentleman, meet my sister...Sister Schubert. You can find these at your local grocery store in the frozen food section. Sister makes some killer cinnamon rolls, pigs in a blanket, and even really great wheat rolls too!!! Thanks Mom for introducing me to Sister Schubert.

ANAMIA'S!!!

This Mexican food restaurant has the best tableside guacamole, tortilla soup, and brisket tacos! :) I frequent the one in Southlake and Coppell. Thank you Jesus for Anamia's. Yes, this is an actual picture of their food.

Baby Bliss. I know this is really random and I know I don't have kids yet. BUT, this is the cutest baby boutique in Dallas. I've enjoyed buying gifts for my friends here for a few years now. They just expanded their Snider Plaza store to 2500 square feet! Holy cow!! :) So, I'm pumped to go over there and see them. They also just opened a store in the Southlake Town Square. It's so fun just go to in there and look....babies or no babies! :) Don't judge me.

Anthroplogie. I can't really ever afford these clothes, unless my mom comes into town. :) And to be honest, I haven't had the best luck with their clothes either. They are WAY expensive and don't last very long. I've had a skirt that faded completely to white after taking it to cleaner's. A sweater that the buttons melted TWICE at the cleaners...regardless...I LOVE this store and could spend hours in there just smelling around. :) It's smells glorious in there with all the candles!!!

My iphone. Yes, judge me now. Right now. I know you are...I can see your eyes rolling back in your head as we speak. If it makes you feel any better, I didn't pay for a dime of it. It was a present. A present bought with the use of an at&t gift card and a Christmas bonus at work. I had the same pink Sprint cell phone for 4 years and it finally went dead. So, my dad gave me his old razor after I switched over to At&t. Well, it went dead. So, I had a free phone that was TERRIBLE and I hated it. But, I was going to hold out and now buy a phone. Well....what else are you going to do with At&T gift cards from your parents besides get an iphone or a blackberry. Lord knows I don't need a black berry and it was more expensive in the end!! I still pay the same amount I did before with free internet. I only have 200 text messages a month though. So, don't text message me. Kidding. Peter loves it now because it's like our own GPS navigation system when we go garage/estate selling! :)

Duh. PETER EUGENE. His initials are P.E.A. You know where this is going.....yes I used to call him Sweet PEA, but now I resort to Babe or Peter. :) Not that he's still not sweet..becuase he IS! He should be at the top of my list. I hope my babies have his hair/smile/eyes/running skills. Yesterday he went running on a track near our new house. Or shall I say 'sprinting.' He came home and said, "I think I'm still fast." What am I supposed to do with that? I just laughed and said good job babe. We'll still call you White Lightning.

I'm obsessed with SHARPIE's. The smell, the colors, the boldness, the way it bleeds through the paper! Oh the joy.

Do you know who these three people are? I know some people think they are terrible. But, I like to laugh in the mornings. Although, I should be praying my way to work. I hate my job. THe end. Kidd Kraddick, Big Al, and Kellie Raspberry do make me giggle. J.C. too, but he's not pictured. It takes me 30 minutes to get to work. I sure am ready to move close.

I guess that's enough for today. Maybe I'll have a more substantial post next time.

They weren't finished with the trim due to the HIGH WINDS from last week. I'll take an updated pic after they lay the concrete and do the landscape this week. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! :)
The front door will match the stained cedar on the posts and the garage.
You can see the difference in the colors now up top. :) We are very happy with them.
Peter is in love with our garage door. Not as much as he loves me of course. :)

Had a good weekend. HARD but good. Sang 6 services, got little to no sleep and hung out with some fun friends.
As of today, in 2 weeks everything should be IN the house and ready to go. But, we have to wait on TXU to bring our electrical box or something.
The paint colors are AMAZING. I am so unbelievably pleased with our choices. NOT TO MENTION, we only made 2 trips to the paint store picking out colors. Only 1 of them was a bummer color. I'd say that's a record if you ask me! :)
Anyways, I don't have much to say today.....

LOST PREMIERE!!!!!!!!!

This is all that's on my mind today. Well that's not true. This is what I am looking forward to tomorrow night. PROBLEM IS, the people I usually watch it with have their usually Thursday night commitment at church. DANGIT! So, we might be taping it. OH THE THOUGHT OF HAVING TO WAIT ONE MORE NIGHT! I think I'll live.

Things have been fairly busy for us lately. Peter and I got up early Saturday and went Estate Sale shopping. What a CREEPY experience I tell ya. But, we did find a really cool Victorian bench for 30 dollars and a "new" kitchen table for $50! We're going to re-stain it but we are VERY excited about the finds. It's creepy going through people's things. Creepy because it seems like they left everything exactly how it was in their house for people to rummage through. This one house in Highland Park had her nighties in her drawer for sale. CREEPY PEOPLE!

Saturday night we went to Patrizzio's in Highland Village...not to be confused with Highland Park. We had grand ole time. Peter and I also spent some time choosing paint colors. It's a miracle we did it in 2 days! :) Our painter, Marcos, doesn't like a few of the colors I chose. I just laughed. :) They were supposed to paint the siding outside yesterday, but due to the 100 mile an hour winds, they opted not to kill themselves. :)

I attempted to make homemade hot sauce last night and failed miserably. And today, my fingers smell like garlic and onion. I EVEN wore gloves. What?

Anybody excited about the Super Bowl? What day is it again? That's how I feel about it.

I don't like my job this week. I got cussed at by my doctor. I almost laughed in his face. I'm tired of him using the 'F' word. Someday I'll get the guts to ask him to stop around me. It gets on my nerves. I wonder if uses that word around his 3 babies? Hmmm....

I guess I'm through ranting. Have a good Wednesday.

Well,

Things are just moving way to fast for my taste. :)

This weekend Peter stained the floors. He only did one coat so we'll have to go back this weekend and do the process all over again! The cleaning part is the worst. As a matter of fact, I was SORE on Monday.

Monday morning the cabinets/shelves were put in. They messed up on the kitchen a bit. A few of the top cabinets are supposed to be "glass front." So, they'll go back and fix it. The stairs were also put in. Picture a classic look with stained steps and a white bannister. :) Very Pottery Barn/cottagey feel.

Yesterday they started putting the stone on the front and laying out the driveway!! I almost had a coronary when I saw all of this. I'm sure they were all laughing at me because I was just so excited!!!!! They were supposed to start painting the outside but due to the weather they are waiting till tomorrow or Friday. :) We're not yet set on the inside. For the most part we are, but there are some 'special' colors that I have yet to decide on.

Yesterday evening we decided on countertops for the kitchen. I didn't think I would choose granite but I ended up doing it!!!

Today I went over to unlock the doors and the trim, crown molding and doors were going up!

Again, freaked out. :)

Can you believe that???? They believed it to be a drug overdose or suicide??! They found him deadd in NYC!

That's just absolutely TERRIBLE.

I have nothing else to say.

That makes me so sad. Not to mention he has a baby girl Matilda who was 2. He recently broke up with Michelle Williams, the girl from Dawson's Creek. I can't talk about this anymore.

More FUN!

This past weekend we went along with Natasha and Thomas to their sister-in-law's birthday party. It was at Times Ten Cellar in Lakewood! So cool. I should have taken more pics, but my battery was about to die. Not to mention free wine. Don't worry, nobody had to much. I promise.
We had a good ole time just pretending like we were hoity toity. The dress was black and white dressy. So, Natasha and I had fun getting all gooseyed up. Not sure if that's how you spell gooosey. :) Either way, we had fun.

I took this pic of the house this morning because they installed our garage door!!!!!
It will be stained along with the front door and the cedar posts. Next week is a huge week as the front and inside of the house will be painted. Also the stone and brick will be put on. They might have to wait because it's hard for concrete to dry if the weather is below 50. The trim carpenter will install the cabinets and the crown molding! Last week they finished sheet rocking and then Monday the finished texturing the walls! So, it's all ready to go!! I didn't feel like it was necessary to post pics of white walls. So, now you know the progress! We are right on schedule and should be moving in by the middle of February! Our bathtub came last week too! It's utterly fantastic I tell ya!!
This weekend is a huge for us. Peter and I are staining the concrete on most of the bottom floor. So, if you need me, that's where I'll be. :)

Prayer

I was going to post a silly blog today, but felt the need to post about this girl named Tricia and her daughter Gwenyth and husband Nathan.
I just spent the last hour catching up on her husband's blog here http://cfhusband.blogspot.com and just sat and cried at my desk for 2 reasons. One, that our God is so mighty and two, because of Him completely breaking my heart for not believing that He is a MIGHTY God. I know, sounds odd.

So, if you would join with me in praying for this sweet family. I won't tell you their story, as you should read it yourself. It's truly unbelievable.

Lord, you are a God of miracles. I pray that you would give Tricia and Gwenyth the strengh to fight so that they can be a testimony to your unbelievable power. I pray that you would give Nate energy, patience, and an ushakeable peace that can only come from you.

This past weekend was Rachel and Craig's wedding! We had a dadgum blast I tell ya!
Friday night was the lingere/bachelorette party! We had a nice dinner at Breadwinner's followed by some fun times at Becky's house opening up gifts. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures.

Saturday Peter and I had a good time just resting and looking at the progress of our new home. It's fully sheetrocked now and they cleaned up ALL of the trash in the front yard. Scary that we will actually take residence there in a month or so. WHOA! I'm pumped. :) I'll post more progress later.

Saturday evening we went downtown to the rehearsal dinner at Mattito's on Turtle Creek Blvd. We had our own room, free margarita's and fun! I laughed so much. I will say, Craig made the most creative video in the world. I was sweating from laughing so hard and tears were streaming down my eyes. Hopefully Rachel will post the video on her blog when she gets back from the honeymoon. Here's some pics from the night.

So, needless to say, after a long weekend of wedding stuff, I have a horrible cold today. It started coming yesterday and it's hit me full force. I haven't had anything like this in well over a year, so I'm just mad. :)

2008?

Is it just me, or did 2007 FLY by.

Highlights of 2007:

January - first month of marriage. WOW! Substitute taught. Not so cool. Enjoyed being a wife this month.

February - Valentine's Day with friends. Went skiing!! THAT was fabulous!

March - travelled to Austin for Peter's brother's wedding. Chopped my hair off.

April - 4 weddings, a crazy engagement "party" to Austin with friends, allergy shots, Maverick's game, etc.

May - baby showers, College girl's weekend, birth of the birds, and got a J-O-B. Ugh.

June - started that job, lots of babies, born, and MORE weddings. Celebrated my birthday at a bed and breakfast

July - Layla-Grayce was born, my neice, we got CHARLIE, our dog back. :) Sent her to the grandparents for the "weekend."

August - went to the lake, got stung by a wasp. It hurt bad and had to wear a heart monitor ALL MONTH. It sucked.

September - MORE weddings, San Antonio......hmmm

October - Halloween, State Fair, Homecoming, BOUGHT A LOT TO BUILD OUR FIRST HOME, Sister got engaged, booked our trip to NYC! :)

November - THANKSGIVING, moved in with Natasha and Thomas, NYC TRIP, Houston, House BEGUN!!!

December - NYC, White Rock Marathon, Wedding Showers, Christmas parties - well you know you read my blog. :)

Peter and I were praying last night thanking the Lord for an incredible year. The Lord truely blessed us beyond measure.
We prayed that this year is a year of purpose. There are alot of things happening, and we want to stay focused on why we are here, to glorify HIS name.

Unfortunately, I didn't take many pics over the break. In fact, I only took 1 of my neice's. Geez....I'm horrible. :)
Maybe I'll get crackin!

We spent NYE over at Jeremy's house and had a blast playing games. We were to busy playing Scene It on the Nintendo Wii and we actually ALMOST missed midnight. :) It didn't phase us much. I had a great 4 and half day weekend filled with friends, family and fun and food! Can't forget the 4 F's. Now I'm tired of eating and sleeping too much and am back in the game. Sort of. :)

Looking forward to Rachel and Craig's wedding this Sunday. We've got festivites from Friday night-Sunday night and I can't wait!!!!!!!

Till then....I'm getting Carpel Tunnel and should be working.

YESSSSS!!!!

This ladies and gentleman, is my new best friend. This is where I will spend most of my time when we move in. I might turn into a prune.

They almost have the siding up. The top and middle will be different colors of khaki/army green and then the bottom will be stone. We got some doors and windows.
And, I met the new puppy that lives across the street.

We've had a great week. The doctor I work for is headed to one of the other offices. So, I've been getting used to a new doctor today and tomorrow. Praise the Lord for no patients on Friday afternoon. A half a day extra vacation! :)

Headed to the parents house on Sunday. We will celebrate with both families! I love being married. ;) Keep the Christ in Christmas MOLLY! Geezzzzzz...

We watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation last night. Let me take that back. Everyone else watched it and I fell asleep. I'm sure everyone was glad though because I was quoting every line.

It looks like we'll be moving in to our new home in the middle of February. I have had some pretty major anxiety this week over it. Peter and I both. Huge step and trying to trust the Lord with every move we make. (I know you're secretly busting in to the song right now. If you don't know what it is, disregard.)

Anyways, I don't have much else to say today. Hope everyone has safe travels over the weekend. It doesn't really feel like Christmas yet.
