It started off with a beautiful candlelight dinner at our apartment with Thomas, Natasha, Rachel and Craig. I went to the Dollar Store and bought some decorations and we ordered in Parma Italian Restaurant! YUM!

Little did I know that he hates the small of Star-Gazer Lilies. Bu...aren't they beautiful?!??!!

We framed funny pictures of the boys and sat them in front of their plate. That was Natasha's idea. This whole thing was supposed to be a surprise.

THen........the unthinkable happened. Peter's gift for Valentine's Day was an awesome pear/apple/cranberry crisp. Might I mention it took forever for me to cut up the apples and pears. I even cut my fingers twice! They are still tender today. Anyways, that's neither here nor there. Ummm...anyways, well, as you can see from the before pics, our "dining room" is quite small. So, of course I was sitting opposite of the oven. So, sweet Peter kept checking on it after an hour and 15 minutes of cooking. It still wasn't brown on top. Well, sweet Peter decided it would be a good idea to put it on broil without telling me. And, well, he forgot about it. And, well, as you can see, it caught on fire. I didn't get pics of that, unfortunately. But here is the dessert sitting on the back porch.

Here is Rachel bundled up because well, we had to open both the front and back doors to make the smoke alarm stop sounding. The whole apartment was full of smoke. :)

You can actually see the smoke in this picture. Natasha and Craig are warming up by the stove. :)

Sweet Peter took the crazy burnt crips off the top. Thomas was having him a little snack. :)

Thomas and Nut being cute.

Craig and Rach being cute. :)

Well.......it seems as if Peter and I didn't get a picture with each other for Valentine's Day. We were too busy..

I hope all of oyou had a wonderful Valentine's Day! :)

Wolf Creek and a much needed Vacash!

I'm exhausted!!! Me taking a nap on the picnic bench.
I'm not very fashionable...but I'm warm! Peter on the other hand!
Our ski buddies and new friends Kara and Steve Shanks.
Paul and Kelly's heads. More pictures of them to come.
On the way to the slopes

Well, we had a great time in the mountains! Spending 2 days driving there and back in the car was a beating but we made some great friends! We went with several couples young and old from Denton Bible. It was definitely a "skier's trip" meaning all ski, NO SLEEP! Literally, I have NEVER been so tired at the end of the day. I had a little bout of altitude sickness the whole time I was there. But, it didn't stop me from skiing 3 days in a row! we were the first on the mountain and the last to leave everyday! Hilarious... As you can see, I was all about being warm. Thankfully, it wasn't too chilly at all! The sun was out the majority of the time that we were there. Yesterday when we left...at 5 am...6 am Texas time, there was a huge snow storm goin on! We lost a little time. I woke up long enough to go to the bathroom behind a post office with a rabbit watching near by. TMI for everyone I know! :)
Here's a few pics from the trip. The "cool" pics were taken by another couple on the trip. I'll post some of those next week! I was caught "in action" several times jumping or falling. Take your pic!!

Ashley, we had your husband over for dinner tonight. We missed you! I cooked him a healthy dinner of salmon, asparagus, corn on the cob, rice and salad. :) I was sad not to see you guys!

I subbed for an art class today. Needless to say, I was so stinking bored! I was glad to get out though this morning.

I've realized today that I am over-commited in my "bible-studies." Thankfully, I have time to do them all...I'm just nervous I'm not going to get alot out of some of them due to the intensity of others. I'm in the process of going throug the 12 Steps to Recovery right now and it is the most intense of them all. I also started a Beth Moore study with my young married small group girls. We split up during small group time. Then, I'm studying a book for the worship team. Thankfully, the times we meet are spread out. Its the aforementioned book above. It's pretty intense. I just finished the Carolyn Mahaney book and now I started The Power of a Praying Wife. I bought it for $4 at Mardel's. Needless to say, I'm praying that I can take it all in....

I'm ready for another vacash. :)

2 things! :)

Well, we finally got a new truck last night. After 3 weeks of looking for a used, beat up one in our price range, we bought a new one last night. It's a black, 2007, Toyota Tundra. They just came out YESTERDAY. It was basically the LAST thing we were going to do, but we figured it was best to pay of my car so that we would only have one car payment. We're thankful, but we were very scared!!! It took us 6.5 hours at the dealership last night. I picked up Peter from work at 3:30pm, and off we went. That was probably the largest thing I have ever been involved in buying...or financing for that matter. It sure would have been nice to have been car payment, but I know that the Lord honored this decision.

So, anyways, after we got home, I was so tired, I feel asleep on the couch and woke up at 10 something and crawled in bed. I didn't get up until 9.

Today will be spent getting Peter and I ready for our ski trip. We leave at 5 in the morning!! I'm so excited to get away and hit the slopes! It will be so good for us! Now....spending 2 out of the 5 days in the car...ummm...not so much fun, but it'll hopefully be worth it!!

I'll for sure post pics of Peter's truck and our trip when we return!!

Until then, peace out.

Okay Okay

I've been procrastinating this week on blogging. I don't have any fun pictures....although I should since I carry my camera around everywhere. I hope to be better at that.

Things have been good the last couple of weeks. Peter and I have been VERY busy. He more than I because of his job. I didn't see him much last week because he worked about 80 hours....one night he had to work until 5:30am. He said that would NEVER happen again. He was so frustrated about that. His whole team stayed to finalize some budget that was due at 8 the next morning that had alot of holes in it from the last guy in charge. Peter is such a hard worker and always wants to do his best..he's been pretty down about it lately.
On top of that he still hasn't found a truck....we are desperately trying to get out of debt. It's funny, neither one of us had much before we got married. It was almost a blessng having that wreck, because we got to pay off Peter's wrecked truck and my car!!! But, taking Peter to work in the mornings is a bummer. It's not been that bad, but it's hard to wake up! I'm getting used to it. Picking him up in the evenings isn't that bad either. But, who really want to be a one car family? We'll do it as long as we have too. We're just praying for the Lord's will as far as that is concerned. Get a used beat up one for cheap, or go ahead and get a new one...frustrating when you are really trying to get out of debt.
Anyways, that's neither here nor there.

Peter has been playing soccer this month on Tuesday's or Wednesday's nights. He love it. Last night he scored 4 goals. He's pretty competitive so it's pretty fun for him. Although, because of lack of exercise, he has a horrible wheasy cough on into the night. I just giggle. I have become a soccer mom. Last night I yelled at a guy on the other team because he straight pushed Peter over on purpose. What was funny, is Peter got foul, FOR BEING PUSHED DOWN! I don't think I could play soccer. I might start cussing. Kidding..kind of. I'm sure I'll be a soccer mom in the future and I'll have to hold my tongue. :)

I have been subbing the past 2 weeks at a high school down the street from my apartment. It's been fun, but VERY BORING. I load up my bag in the mornings with tons of books, etc. I take my computer, but only to play games or to make outlines of a book I am reading! HAHHA, that's how boring it is!! I've been lucky though, because I'm not disciplined about reading and spending time in the word. It's been an incredible 2 weeks as far as that is concerned. I am studying a book called "Christian Beliefs."

It's a pretty thin book but it has SO much information it. It's been great to be reminded of who God is and be able to retain important scriptures! I also finished a book called Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney. It talks 7 virtues of a Godly wife and mother! It really has rocked my face off and I encourage everyone to read it! Thanks to Lauren....I got a good and challenging read! :)
Anyways, high school kids are definitley my favorite. I did sub at a middle school one day. And, let me tell you, it's a COMPLETLEY different world over here!! The kids are incredible! Course, I was teaching 6th grade AP Language Arts? I didn't even know that existed! :) hah.
Yesterday I taught Pre-Cal and AP Pre-Cal. The last period of the day, there were 2 kids that were bussed over from the middle school. One of them was TEN YEARS OLD! Not to mention he was a 10 year old in the 8th grade coming to the high school for AP PRE-CAL! Whatever...needless to say, I felt stupid. Sort of.

This past weekend Peter and I went to a movie. We couldn't compromise on anything so, we went to see Freedom Writers. It was fantastic. It kind of reminded me of Dangerous Minds. :)

We're looking forward to going skiing next week. We leave a week from today and return next Sunday the 11th. We are going to Wolf Creek with our marriage counselor and his wife and a few other people from Denton Bible. I haven't been skiing since college and I am SO ready to hit the slopes!! Peter says he's going to snow board, so I assume I'll be skiing by myself the whole time. I'm too chicken to snowboard. I'd rather enjoy my money's worth and just do something I'm experienced in. :)

Well, I have to go back to school now. I went to school and realized I had the first 2 periods off. Oh heavens. So, I left to go home with snow falling down! It was beautiful! :) I'm ready to see ALOT of snow next week!!!
Hopefully the next time I return I will have more to say with PICTURES to illustrate. ;)

Love you all...

Our Apartment/Month Anniversary!

One view of our very small closet!!!! WE DID GOOD!
The love seat and part of the kitchen.
Where all the magic happens! (cooking that is!)
One view of our bathroom! Aren't we cute.!
One view of the AWESOME bed Peter built us!
Missing some colored pillow cases that were being washed!
Also, our attempt to get creative on the wall! :)
Little lounge section in the bedroom!
Another view of our closet. :)

Our dining room table! We got it for 199 dollars at WEIR'S~!
Our living room!! The entertainment center is large.
The view into view into the hallway/entry way.
My way of decorating. NOT FINISHED!
I painted those pictures above the toilet!

Happy Anniversary!! Well, Monday was our 1 month anniversary. We decided right after we got married we would celebrate and eat our cake. We didn't want to wait a year and have it get nasty and gross. I know I know, we probably broke the rules! :) I look like a rag-a-muffin due to working out and not taking a shower all day! I didn't feel well either after all the whip lash and sore body and recovering from my croup from last week. I asked Peter if it bothered him that I hadn't really gotten ready. He laughed and said that it was okay because I don't do that kind of thing very often. Here's a few more pictures of a our awesome cake! Thankfully it didn't take like Saran Wrap! It tasted just like it did at the wedding!!! Peter and I decided neither one of us wanted it after our piece we shared, so I ever so Peter ever so kindly cut it up and I took it up to my sister at school ! :) Speaking of, she has a new boyfriend! More on that later. :)

The rest are pictures of our awesome little 753 sq. ft. of FUN!!! I thought I would share where we have been living for the last month!! By the way, it's Wednesday, and again, actually SNOWED in today!! The look out side my apartment window isn't that pretty. There is way more grass than there is snow. Either way, I'll take it! :) I tried to post the pictures BELOW this darn blog, but it wouldn't happen. Oh well........
Have a wonderful day.

Another Wreck.....

Yes, you heard it, Peter and I had a NASTY wreck yesterday morning!

Here's how it went down.

We were actually supposed to go to Abilene this weekend for a hunting trip. I of course was not hunting, but Peter, my dad and our friend Thomas were going to duck hunt. That got cancelled because we all took a look at the weather. We would have made it Abilene fine, but we would have not made it back in a timely manner. So, Friday, Mallory and Jason Krieger asked us to housesit for them out in Providence. Some of you know where Providence is, but if you don't it's past Denton and close to Oklahoma! That's what I feel like anyways. So, we had a nice dinner at Johnny Carino's on Friday night and headed out there for the weekend. We actually left at 7am on Saturday morning to drive up to the church for Celebrate Recovery Step Study. We were there until around 10:30 and decided to head on out back to Providence. It takes 30 minutes to get there from the church. When we got to the house, we realized that Peter had dropped the key out of his jacket pocket somewhere in the church, we hoped anyway! So, we drove 30 minutes back to the church. Luckily we got a key for the church and went on the hunt. Apparently, someone had picked up the key. We quickly figured that out and headed out to their house back in Denton towards Providence! Quite annoying I might add. We got the key and decided to eat lunch at a barbeque joint in Denton. We got back to Providence aroudn 1:30 and were there the rest of the evening. Yesterday morning I woke up to Peter scurrying around....he doesn't like to sleep in. He said he had already checked the weather and that we needed to go ahead and leave because it was only going to get worse. So, around 8:30am, we bundled up and packed up our stuff and got in the truck. At this point, it wasn't raining and the roads seemed fine. We thought we had beat the weather. We were driving on Highway 380 which is a 7 lane highway and came up on a bridge that was about 2 miles long. We were going along with the traffic at about 50mph, maybe a little more than that. Well, there the black ice appeared. The back end of the truck spinned around and we lost control. Peter let off the brakes and tried to steer, but it quickly moved us over into the opposite 3 lanes of traffic, thankfully no cars were coming. Our car was turned side ways and we ran smack dab into the cement guard rail going about 50. Did I mention we were on a bridge????? Yes, my first thought was, "We're going off the bridge!" So, I closed my eyes, grabbed Peter's arm and screamed bloody murder. We hit the cement and it ping ponged us back into the turn lane in the middle of the highway turning us back the same direction we were traveling. The airbags definitley went off! We looked at each other and asked if each were okay. I of course smelled smoke from the airbags, so I opened the door. Well my door was a little over into the traveling lane of traffic, so Peter quickly told me to close the door. I sat there for a moment to regain my breath and started thinking about us going off the bridge and just started balling!! We both hurt immediately. Both of our necks from whip lash for sure. The seat belt left bruises on my collar bone, and both of my hip bones. This morning, I felt like I had done a lower ab workout. It's very sore! For some reason the top of my foot is extremely bruised along with my knee cap. Peter somehow scraped his leg. In the process of me screaming, I accidentally bit down on my tongue when we hit the wall. 15 minutes later, my tongue was SO swollen! I laugh about it now because I was talking in a lateral lisp! That was the most annoying part! :)

The sherriff pulled up behind us about 2 minutes after the wreck and asked if we were okay. As he was talking to us, another truck down the road started spinning and hit the guard rail. It was nuts! And, then quickly following that wreck, here comes the sand trucks to sand the bridge. Awesome. :) The tow truck guy gave us a ride to the collision center and then because we couldn't get a hold of anyone to come get us, he ever so kindly took us to a diner right off 35 in Denton. We finally got a hold of one of my friends and her husband came to get us.

The collision center called this morning, and Peter's truck is definitly totalled. Nice. So, he has a cute little rent car. I was so scared for him to drive to work, but he did and he made it safely.......

Kind of a damper in the weekend, but we're so thankful we're alive and not hurt majorly!
I tell you what, there's something about the Carrigan girls and wrecks! Ridiculous I say!!!!!

Anyways, be safe today!

Thursday Blues....

Well, it's Thursday, and usually I'm pumped about Thursday's! They ae my favorite day of the week! But, I'm VERY under the weather today.

This past weekend I sang all 6 services at church, which didn't really wear me out by any means, but I decided it would be fun to work in the nursery on Sunday evening. I guess a few of the babies had a little cold....and you guessed it. They passed it on to me! I took 2 benadryl allergy and boy was that a mistake!
So, Monday I spent pretty much the whole day sneezing! Ugh. The medicine cured it but made me drunk as a sunkkkkkkkkk! It was awesome! But, I still managed to go to the grocery store and cook a fantastic dinner!! We had this chicken that my mom used to cook all the time when I was growing up. I call it Barbeque Chip Chicken. Basically you roll the chicken in flour, then in butter and garlic salt and then you roll it in crushed up barbeque chips. It's really really good! I guess all the butter/chips don't make it too healthy! We ate left over mashed potatoes that Peter cooked for lunch on Sunday and green beans!

So, Tuesday, I woke up and decided to cook brownies. I wasn't smart on Monday night and forgot to take my benadryl before I went to bed. So, I was up most of the night with my drainage going down the back of my throat! It hurt so bad! But, I still managed to be Susie Homeaker and make brownies. I wasn't very impressed with them because I used milk chocolate chips instead of semi sweet. My mom said that in brownies, semi-sweet are actually sweeter. WHAT? But, I took them to Mommy play group anyways. Yes, that's right Mommy Play Group. One of my friends at church, Natalie invited me to come over and play with all the mommies and their babies! I told my friend Sarah she could lend me one of her 2 and then I'd be covered! I had alot of fun, and was definitley over stimulated!

Tuesday afternoon I cooked an awesome recipe of Chicken Tortilla Soup! The first thing it said to do was to chop up an onion and 2 cloves of garlic. I guess I haven't really dealt too much with garlic and so therefore I decided to start chopping up a whole garlic! It seemed like alot to me so I called my parents. Even my dad knew that a clove was just a piece of the garlic! So, I had to throw the rest away. As I was chopping the onions, I was literally crying becuase it was so stout! It was miserable! But, it paid off in the end.
I let it simmer and cook for about an hour and then Peter and I headed to his soccer game. Peter loves soccer and decided to join one of the leagues with a bunch of people from church. I felt like a soccer mommy! It was great! He scored 2 out of the 7 goals, and seemed to score the first goal behind the back! He still has that athletic magic!
So, when we got home, he told me that was the best Chicken Tortilla Soup he had ever had! It made my day.

Tuesday night I managed to go ahead and take 2 benadryl allergy! :) I slept all through the night and pretty much into Wednesday! :) Hilarious. My fingers smelt like garlic and onions so it woke me up pretty abruptly. Anyone know a secret to get that off your fingers???

Yesterday was pretty uneventful. I felt pretty awful all day. I decided to take a quick trip to Blockbuster and rent some movies. Thank goodness I got all the laundry done and dinner cooked, but I still felt pretty bad on into the evening. It was Sloppy Joe night! Peter suggested and I said yes. :) But, I don't eat left over sloppy joes so it's all his! :)

Last night, I got ZERO sleep. I got up about 5 this morning and ate a bowl of cereal and took some benadryl. So, I went back to bed at about 545 and slept till 11. Nice. Today's been pretty much of a waste!!!

This weekend we are going to Abilene. Peter and our friend Thomas are going hunting with my dad. So, I'm just going to hang out with mom all weekend and make her give me some drugs so I can get over this funk!!!

Sunday evening Peter and I are trying out our first married small group. I'm sort of looking forward to it, but am a little apprehensive at the same time! I'm ready to meet more people through the church.

Anyways, I'm tired now, so I'm going to finish my hot tea and lay down!

I'll post pictures next time from last weekend's Sushi Fun Night!!
Bye

2007........

First Dinner Party on New Year's Day! Peter and I decided that we had to much roast for just the two of us. So, I cooked my first roast in the crock pot (thanks to Brittney's mom) and it turned out..well okay. I had to buy the roast from Target (as we have gift cards that we are using for groceries) and it was just plain dry. Noone complained. I also made my mom's famous banana pudding. Everyone was saying it was Banana Pudding from Jesus. :) ahaha...
Anyways, we watched Waiting for Guffman afterwards. Funny stuff I'll say.

The rest of these pics are from the honeymoon. I guess none of them really need explaining. We had a wonderful time in The Dominican. Needless to say it was beautiful! We are in the reality of marriage right now. It's been pretty fun in the 753 sq. ft. of fun! :) I have pretty much cooked dinner every single night. That has been exciting to say the least. My days have consisted of well, waking up at 9, watching a little tv, eating breakfast, running errands for Vera, cooking dinner, laundry and today I deep cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom. I'm in the process of washing the sheets. Hmm...the life of a wife.
I am going to start subbing on January 16th in Coppell unless I find something else more exciting to do. At this rate, Peter just wants me to be happy, and I am thankful for that. He does not want me to work just to work...although the money would be nice. It's been weird transition but I am gettng the hang of it slowly. And for all of you who think there will be kids soon...it'll be at least a year. I refuse to have a child in this apartment and we will have our debt payed off before a child. So, you can just all hold your horses! All you mommies know how much I love your babies. :)

This weekend I am singing all 6 services at church..which stinks a bit seeing that I haven't really seen Peter much this week except when we got to bed...but, I enjoy serving and singing a whole lot!! Peter is going to Wichita Falls for the day on Saturday. I am sad I cannot go! :( I will enjoy singing just as much.

I just wanted to say thanks to all my sweet friends for coming to the wedding! I know it was a crazy Friday and traffic was horrible but I am so glad you made it!!! It wouldn't have been the same without you. I'm sad it's over!! :)
Real life here we come!

I'll post pics of our little apartment soon.

Love you all!

I am MARRIED! :)

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
As we speak I am typing on Peter and I's new DELL laptop!!! I was so surprised! My parents are quite possibly the most generous people I have ever met. I mean, just a week and a half ago, they provided Peter and I with the most beautiful wedding we could ever have asked for!!!!! If you want to see more pictures go to my myspace. www.myspace.com/moppyca.
Here are just a few pics I decided to put on for just grins. I'll put more on later but I'm quite sick of being on the computer.
We had a blast on our honeymoon to Punta Cana in The Domincan. I brought back a little demon in my tummy....but with several doses of Pepto Bismol I'm already feeling better and getting to enjoy Christmas meals and treats much better!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!!!!
I love you all!!
Love,
Molly Abrigg :)

Oh and...thank you for the sweet sweet posts on some of your blogs!! I teared up just a bit reading them!!!!

Sorry No Blog...

Well,

After I finished work on October 27th, the only computer availiable is Rachel's. She's got alot of work on it and it's got a few issues so I never want to touch it unless she's there to monitor me. :) So, my computer skills have been lacking. I miss it......

Well, alot has happened in the last 3 weeks. I've had 3 showers, done my dress fitting, taken more engagement pics. PLEASE REFER TO www.rachelwilksphotograhy.blogspot.com to see them. There are just 5 or 6 pics on her blog but they are awesome! I can't wait to see the rest and get some printed.

I've started running errands for this woman in Highland Park. Last week I did 20 hours in 4 days! I feel like the assistant on The Devil Wear's Prada, but liking it at the same time. I get to go places I would never really go before. So that's exciting!! It will keep me busy up until the wedding....and by the way, is ONE MONTH AND ONE DAY AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! Wow.

This past weekend Peter and I traveled to Wichita Falls for 2 birthday parties. Peter's niece, soon to be my niece Henslee's 2nd birthday party was in the morning. It was a polka dot theme. I wish I had pictures. I know Peter's dad does. I supplied Ashlee, Andrea and I with polka dot shirts. We took some cute pics. I'm excited to have 3 sister's now instead of 2! That's fun times!!
Then in the afternoon was Peyton's 6th birthday party. The theme was camoflauge! It was so fun. All the kids wore camo and played Capture the Flag. Peter administered the game and had a blast! I stayed inside and played with Henslee because I was freezing! :) Then later that evening we all had a relaxing evening at "The New China." haha...it was really good.

This week has already flown by. It's Tuesday? What?! My last dress fitting is on Thursday. My mom is flying in. Oh by the way, I almost passed out during my first dress fitting....I must have had an allery fever and too much Sudafed. It was funny to everyone else but not me. I was scared. :) I of course thought about it the rest of the day/week and freaked myself out. So, pray for me this Thursday for my second fitting. My bridal portrait is scheduled for either Friday or Monday...depending on if my dress is ready! I pray it is. :)
A week from today I will be going to Abilene for Thanksgiving. UNBELIEVABLE! I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week! Crazy stuff. So, I'll stay there from Tuesday-Sunday. Then I'll come back and have a week to pack. December 2nd I move into our new apartment......that's another thing, we rented our first apartment. The 753 square foot of fun! Can you believe that I will be living in that small of an apartment. I'm a bit excited about it although Peter and I are going to have to rent a storage unit. That's what happens when you are 26 and 27....too much stuff.
On December 1st, the lingere/bachellorette party is happening!!! CRAZY! I'm really excited about that one!!! So...lots happening between now and then.

I'm crossing my fingers Peter and I get a computer soon. :) Then I will update on all of these festivities. Oh and, I bought a Christmas tree yesterday! :) I was VERY excited. It's going to have to sit in the garage until we move. But, it will be semi the first thing I put up in the new apartamento! :)

So, there's my update. For pictures, check Rachel's blog! :)
BYEEEEE!!

Thursday, October 26, 2006

Well, it's Thursday again. It seems that Thursday is the perfect day to upate the blog.
It might be the last update for a while. Why you say, because tomorrow is my last day here at Mediajuice where the computer is very accessible. I don't have a computer at home. Rachel does, but I rarely mess with it becuase she has so many important things on it. It's slow as Christmas too..no offense Rachel. I've been praying for the Lord to provide for her a computer so that she can work really fast on her pictures!

Anyways, well...let's see.

Last Friday night, me, Peter, Rachel, Craig, Natasha and Thomas decided to take a trip to the State Fair. I had never been so I was pretty pumped. I felt guilty for wanting to go because Peter was so stinking tired! He's so great about being in community though. He desires it as much as I do! Anyways, it was a fun filled night. We were starving when we got there. Peter went straight to get a corn dog and a root beer. Quickly following that stop, I got a turkey leg. It probably weighed a good 5 pounds. I shared it with everyone. I of course was sick of it after about 10 bites. Suprisingly enough, I was full after that. Then we decided to walk towards the rides. None of us wanted to spend the money to ride them but it sure was fun to watch them. I love the fair. I love the carny's too. I think I want to be a carny for Halloween. Peter suggested it and I quickly agreed! :) Anyways, after walking around the rides we decided to go to the barns to see all the animals. I was pretty pumped up about this. I was disappointed at first becuase all I saw were cows laying down. We finally found a barn full of lambs, pigs and such. We saw the 1400 pound pig with the biggest set of....well you know what I'm going to say here. I for sure gave the pig a few scratches on the ear. He was very sweet. Then we found this big fenced in area with every kind of animal known to man. We sat and watched for about 30 minutes laughing our heads off. I felt like there were some inbred animals in there from the things they were doing. There were camels, llamas, billy goats, emus/ostriches, deer?, pony's etc. It was fantastic!! Then we felt the need to find a funnel cake. We searched all over the park for one. Finally we found one. I was full after about 2 bites. What was wrong with me? Peter got a fried snicker's bar. He ate about 2 bites. I'd say we wasted a ton of money on food we didn't eat. I left the park with a box full of peppermint taffy. I've eaten about 3 pieces of it. I wanted it to be soft and well, it was hard! What a disappointment. Overall, I'd say my first State Fair experience was fantastic!!!

Saturday I slept in until around 10. It felt good to sleep in. Then Peter and I made a trip to Baja Fresh for lunch. I had to be at the church for rehearsal at 3:30. I was there until 6:30. I then went over to Peter's for dinner. He made us his favorite meal. Sausage, saurkraut, and salad with mashed potatoes. We then went and rented United 93 and I played with Michael's puppy Bella. She kept biting me and Michael was just yell NO BELLA over and over. It was funny.
I was in bed by 11:15 on Saturday night.

Sunday I sang all 4 services. What a whirlwind of a day. I was exhausted come 9 oclock on Sunday night. I was in bed by 10 not wanting to get up the next morning.

This week has been pretty busy. It's gone by slow because I am excited for this weekend. Tonight after work I'm going to get a manicure/pedicure so I don't look like I live on a farm. Then I need to come home and clean my room while watching my favorite Thursday night TV!!!

The time is coming near

Well, it's getting even closer! One month and 27 days to be exact.
Peter and I just finished our 4th week of Pre-Marrital counseling. I acutally love it and am learning so much about the institute of marriage and the main purpose of it all.
I'm so excited to get to live life with Peter and be under the same roof!
Next weekend we have 2 showers and then the weekend after that we have a shower as well. We/I am going to be so busy writing Thank you's and sorting through gifts.
Tomorrow we're going to look at a condo in a part of town that I love. We've been looking so hard for a condo type place to live instead of your ole' run of the mill apartment! Neither one of us have any desire to live in an apartment. I've been lucky enough to not hae to have lived in apartment type setting since living in Dallas.
BURRRRRRRRRRRRRR. People keep opening the door and my desk is right by the door! It's COLD today! I love it though! Fall is here! Yupeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! I think Peter and I will try to go to the State Fair on Friday night if it's not to cold. I haven't been yet and really want to go.

Well, this past weekend we had a great time in Austin. We took a detour and went to this little town called Lorena to do a little antique shopping. I found this breakfast nook that I wanted...it wasn't antique and it definitely wasn't in our price range. It so cool! It was this lime green color that was distressed and had these iron things on the front! I obviously can't describe it well enough. We got to Round Rock and decided to stop at the outlet malls there. Peter and I each came out with 2 shirts from Banana Republic. We spent a good 2 hours there. We had a good time. Then we headed into to town to go pick up Kelly, Peter's brother at his salon. He own's his own salon on Guadaloupe right across the street from UT. After that we went to his house to pick up his fiance' Audrey. We then went to this really awesome Mexican food place. Thank goodness it wasn't crowded because everyone was at the UT/Baylor game. We got finished as soon as everyone was coming in. After that we went back to Kelly's house. He has an incredible backyard so we just sat out there and enjoyed the cool weather. I went to bed before everyone because I'm a loser. Sunday morning everyone woke up late and Audrey cooked us pancakes and eggs. It was really good. After Kelly finally woke up around noon we headed over to the Buffalo Exchange to shop. I left with a pair of shoes that are awesome and Peter came out with a shirt. We are obviously quite the shoppers. If you know me you know this is true about me.

Let's see, tonight I'm going to do my usualy Grey's Anatomy/Ugly Betty watching. I love TV on Thursday nights! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Friday the 27th is my last official day of work. It's going to be a weird feeling...but I'm pretty darn excited about just chillin for a month before the wedding. After we get married I will substitute teach and just concentrate on being a wife. After that, if I am getting bored and feel like I need a REAL job again, then I will seek after that. I'm thinking Peter will just enjoy me being home when he gets there!

Anyways, I'll be a busy bee this weekend. I'm singing all 5 services on Saturday and Sunday so not much of a weekend for me. But, I enjoy serving at the Village and will serve there as long as the Lord allows! :) I love my church.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Thursday. I just ate Chick-fil-a for the 2nd time in 2 days. AWESOME! So, I'm ready to go!!!

Bye for now!

Name 13 of your favorite TV shows back in the day:

1. Saved by the Bell - doesn't everyone love this show.
2. California Dreams - of course after Saved by the Bell this was on.
3. Full House - TGIF baby!!!!!
4. 90210 - I think that I have watched every single episode.
5. Melrose Place - guilty pleasure.
6. The Smurf's - this was definitely my FAVORITE cartoon for sure.
7. Family Matters - Steve Erkel was so amazing!

And since I can't think of any more here is my favorite now.
8. Grey's Anatomy
9. Ugly Betty
10. America's Next Top Model
11. The Bachelor
12. ET or Access Hollywood
13. Friend's re-runs

Well, here are some hilarious pictures from last Christmas. I don't know what got into us. We found these glasses at a Thrift Store. And, everyone loved it!
I love Thursday's. It means I get to go home after work and watch 3 non-stop hours of TV. IT's the only night I really get to do that. I cherish it for sure.

2 more weeks and then I just chill for a month and 15 days until the wedding. Saturday will be Peter and I's 6 month anniversary! Haa...That means we will be married on our 8 month anniversary. Sweet! That's the way I always pictured it.

Right now I am in the midst of trying to make programs, or better yet come up with an idea for a program. I want it to be simple but a little shabby chic as well.
Invitations will be sent out November 1st. I think I will have those finished this week. I'm done addressing. Now I just have to put them all together. I'll do that during my 3 hours of television.

I got my first shower invitation and it was so cute! I had no doubt in my mind! :) The fun part is about to start!! WOWOWHWOWO!!!!!!!! I can't wait.

Peter and I just commited to go skiing with our counselor and his wife in February! How fun is that!!!!! I haven't been since my senior year of college. So, I'm well past due for a ski trip!! Peter has only been one time. It will be funny trying to watch him be "as good as me." I have years on him in this area, but knowing him he'll school me in this area too. Oh well, it will be a fun experience nonetheless.

Wedding music. That's another thorn in my flesh. I'd like to get this nailed down by the end of the month. I've figured out that I am EXTREMELY too picky. I have 2 songs nailed down and am just trying to choose the others. Sorry guys, this part of the wedding is a secret. Everything else is public knowledge. And, NO I am NOT singing in my own wedding. So, stop asking or thinking it.

This past weekend I went to Six Flags with a few of my friends. The lines were incredibly long which stunk! But, at least it wasn't to hot outside. My legs were cramping after we left. I'm ready to go back when there are NO lines!!!

Well, I'm about done here. Peter and I are going to Austin this weekend to visit his brother and new fiance'. So, that will be fun and exciting. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Exactly 2 months from Sunday until the big day!!!!! If you're confused you can refer to my myspace for my countdown. :)

pics

Well, here are some updated pictures from my life. The first two are from Peter's birthday party earlier in September. 30 of us went to La Hacienda Ranch for some great steak fajitas and then we went dancing. Hilarious...we celebrated Natasha's birthday at the same time...
The next two are from today. I am babysitting Hunter and Becky's puppy. It's 5 weeks old. Hunter had to meet Shane and Shane at A&M and Becky teaches school until 4 something. So, I get to love on this precious puppy. It's momma ran out of milk so they got to have it early. His name is Mr. Beans. Funny! He still can't walk very well, so he looks awkward sitting on my desk.
As we speak he's asleep in his bed next to me. PRECIOUS! Nothing like a puppy....
The last one is of Peter. He's so sweet. I could just stare at him all day long. I do not deserve him at all. Dorky smile. :)
So, that's today for ya!!!!!!

Music

Music is my passion and music is my life. Well, it used to be. It's not anymore but, I do get to enjoy my itunes most of the day and that is awesome. Problem is, I always want to buy a new song! Especially since I am trying to pick my wedding music!! I think I'm being stupid when I say I don't want anything that anyone else has done. Maybe it's because I've sung in over 50 weddings. I know how redundant one song can be. And NO I am not singing at my own wedding.
So, in saying all that, music is on my brain right now. I'm listening to Christina Aguilera right now. She's amazing by the way.

So, my friend Christine is in the hospital. I don't know why, and I'm sad. Speaking of hospitals, Mav and Jay had their baby this week! Peter and I went up to the hospital on Tuesday. She might be one of the prettiest babies that I have ever seen. Hello! Look at her parents! :) Congrats Jay and Mav. I can't wait to see her and actually hold her.

Jobs, my last day here at this job is October 27th. I put in my notice last week. It's just to far. I drive to far and spend 8-530 here, and then have drive drive drive. It's definitely not worth the pay check I am getting. So, subbing is on my list of things to do for the month of November and December. Well half of December anyways. Today is day 76. 76 more days! Boy it's gone by fast. But, if I had to get married today I would cry, why, becuase the left side of my face got attacked by acne. I hate hormones. I yanked myself off the patch last week. It of course was making me ill. So, my body is cussing at me....especially my face!!!! ZITS! I HATE ZITS.

I took the day off yesterday. I slept in until 9, and then ran errand after errand. I then met my mom at my house and we went to lunch at Celebrity Bakery with Peter. I love that place..and the desserts. I treated myself from being so good this week. Then, I came home around 3 and plopped myself in front of the TV and stuffed invitations and such. I ran out of stamps and I haven't even started writing on them yet. But, I do have all my addresses. WHAT A MIRACLE. So, today, I have got to find a chocolate brown pen.
OR, I could just send the envelopes to Sarah or Brittney and have them do it! :) hahahahahaha....no really....ahhahahaahaa.

Anyways, well I guess I should get on payroll. Thank you Jesus for payday.
Happy Friday everyone.

No fun

It's really no fun to write on blogger anymore.
I lost all motivation. :) But, I still faithfully read everyone elses'.
Shoot, that makes me a bad friend huh. Well look here now, I'm blogging. I am sitting at work during the usual 3 o'clock lull time. I just finished with my addresses for the wedding. What a beating. I think addresses and thank you notes will for for sure be the worst part. But, the gifts I will receive, and the people's presence will be worth it! I think I will probably be working here at this job for another month. Then I'm just going to take a couple months off the month before my wedding and the month of December. Then, in January I'll work part-time somewhere near home just to make a little extra money.
That's the problem...I don't know what I will do with the rest of my life. Probably if I were making my normal teacher salary Peter and I would get out of debt this year. He had no debt before I came into his life. Course..it's all good debt. Car will be payed of in a year...and my school loans. I don't have any credit card debt at all. Thank the Lord! Peter has my ring and our honeymoon. Paying that off will take a little bit..and until then 600 dollar 1 bedroom apartment it is! :) That's fine with me. Close quarters it is. The only problem..I won't get to put my awesome new quilt on the guest bedroom! Oh well..that time will come.
Babies...so Andrea congratulations on Little Mason! I can't wait to meet him.
Mav...today or tomorrow little Camden will be in our lives. 2 babies!
And, then Brittney...I guess I'll have to wait until April.

I'm excited about the upcoming showers. I can't believe next weekend will be October! Holy Hannah the time is flying by! I'm so glad! But...I'll enjoy it while it's here. Did I mention I love this weather outside! I have the door propped open to outside today. The breeze has been hitting my face all day! Wondermous!

Well....2 months and 20 days left until the big wedding day! My dress will not be in until the end of October. I went to the bridal store to pick up my veil this weekend. I took a peak at my dress again. Of course it's not MY dress...but it felt nice to look at it again! I'm so ready for it to be here! Then I'll probably have to wait until mid to the end of November to do my bridal portraits! I hope it's not COLD outside! Oh well if it is I guess....

Anyways well...back to work I go. Bye for now.
