Well, it's Thursday again. It seems that Thursday is the perfect day to upate the blog.
It might be the last update for a while. Why you say, because tomorrow is my last day here at Mediajuice where the computer is very accessible. I don't have a computer at home. Rachel does, but I rarely mess with it becuase she has so many important things on it. It's slow as Christmas too..no offense Rachel. I've been praying for the Lord to provide for her a computer so that she can work really fast on her pictures!

Anyways, well...let's see.

Last Friday night, me, Peter, Rachel, Craig, Natasha and Thomas decided to take a trip to the State Fair. I had never been so I was pretty pumped. I felt guilty for wanting to go because Peter was so stinking tired! He's so great about being in community though. He desires it as much as I do! Anyways, it was a fun filled night. We were starving when we got there. Peter went straight to get a corn dog and a root beer. Quickly following that stop, I got a turkey leg. It probably weighed a good 5 pounds. I shared it with everyone. I of course was sick of it after about 10 bites. Suprisingly enough, I was full after that. Then we decided to walk towards the rides. None of us wanted to spend the money to ride them but it sure was fun to watch them. I love the fair. I love the carny's too. I think I want to be a carny for Halloween. Peter suggested it and I quickly agreed! :) Anyways, after walking around the rides we decided to go to the barns to see all the animals. I was pretty pumped up about this. I was disappointed at first becuase all I saw were cows laying down. We finally found a barn full of lambs, pigs and such. We saw the 1400 pound pig with the biggest set of....well you know what I'm going to say here. I for sure gave the pig a few scratches on the ear. He was very sweet. Then we found this big fenced in area with every kind of animal known to man. We sat and watched for about 30 minutes laughing our heads off. I felt like there were some inbred animals in there from the things they were doing. There were camels, llamas, billy goats, emus/ostriches, deer?, pony's etc. It was fantastic!! Then we felt the need to find a funnel cake. We searched all over the park for one. Finally we found one. I was full after about 2 bites. What was wrong with me? Peter got a fried snicker's bar. He ate about 2 bites. I'd say we wasted a ton of money on food we didn't eat. I left the park with a box full of peppermint taffy. I've eaten about 3 pieces of it. I wanted it to be soft and well, it was hard! What a disappointment. Overall, I'd say my first State Fair experience was fantastic!!!

Saturday I slept in until around 10. It felt good to sleep in. Then Peter and I made a trip to Baja Fresh for lunch. I had to be at the church for rehearsal at 3:30. I was there until 6:30. I then went over to Peter's for dinner. He made us his favorite meal. Sausage, saurkraut, and salad with mashed potatoes. We then went and rented United 93 and I played with Michael's puppy Bella. She kept biting me and Michael was just yell NO BELLA over and over. It was funny.
I was in bed by 11:15 on Saturday night.

Sunday I sang all 4 services. What a whirlwind of a day. I was exhausted come 9 oclock on Sunday night. I was in bed by 10 not wanting to get up the next morning.

This week has been pretty busy. It's gone by slow because I am excited for this weekend. Tonight after work I'm going to get a manicure/pedicure so I don't look like I live on a farm. Then I need to come home and clean my room while watching my favorite Thursday night TV!!!

The time is coming near

Well, it's getting even closer! One month and 27 days to be exact.
Peter and I just finished our 4th week of Pre-Marrital counseling. I acutally love it and am learning so much about the institute of marriage and the main purpose of it all.
I'm so excited to get to live life with Peter and be under the same roof!
Next weekend we have 2 showers and then the weekend after that we have a shower as well. We/I am going to be so busy writing Thank you's and sorting through gifts.
Tomorrow we're going to look at a condo in a part of town that I love. We've been looking so hard for a condo type place to live instead of your ole' run of the mill apartment! Neither one of us have any desire to live in an apartment. I've been lucky enough to not hae to have lived in apartment type setting since living in Dallas.
BURRRRRRRRRRRRRR. People keep opening the door and my desk is right by the door! It's COLD today! I love it though! Fall is here! Yupeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! I think Peter and I will try to go to the State Fair on Friday night if it's not to cold. I haven't been yet and really want to go.

Well, this past weekend we had a great time in Austin. We took a detour and went to this little town called Lorena to do a little antique shopping. I found this breakfast nook that I wanted...it wasn't antique and it definitely wasn't in our price range. It so cool! It was this lime green color that was distressed and had these iron things on the front! I obviously can't describe it well enough. We got to Round Rock and decided to stop at the outlet malls there. Peter and I each came out with 2 shirts from Banana Republic. We spent a good 2 hours there. We had a good time. Then we headed into to town to go pick up Kelly, Peter's brother at his salon. He own's his own salon on Guadaloupe right across the street from UT. After that we went to his house to pick up his fiance' Audrey. We then went to this really awesome Mexican food place. Thank goodness it wasn't crowded because everyone was at the UT/Baylor game. We got finished as soon as everyone was coming in. After that we went back to Kelly's house. He has an incredible backyard so we just sat out there and enjoyed the cool weather. I went to bed before everyone because I'm a loser. Sunday morning everyone woke up late and Audrey cooked us pancakes and eggs. It was really good. After Kelly finally woke up around noon we headed over to the Buffalo Exchange to shop. I left with a pair of shoes that are awesome and Peter came out with a shirt. We are obviously quite the shoppers. If you know me you know this is true about me.

Let's see, tonight I'm going to do my usualy Grey's Anatomy/Ugly Betty watching. I love TV on Thursday nights! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Friday the 27th is my last official day of work. It's going to be a weird feeling...but I'm pretty darn excited about just chillin for a month before the wedding. After we get married I will substitute teach and just concentrate on being a wife. After that, if I am getting bored and feel like I need a REAL job again, then I will seek after that. I'm thinking Peter will just enjoy me being home when he gets there!

Anyways, I'll be a busy bee this weekend. I'm singing all 5 services on Saturday and Sunday so not much of a weekend for me. But, I enjoy serving at the Village and will serve there as long as the Lord allows! :) I love my church.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Thursday. I just ate Chick-fil-a for the 2nd time in 2 days. AWESOME! So, I'm ready to go!!!

Bye for now!

5. Melrose Place - guilty pleasure.
6. The Smurf's - this was definitely my FAVORITE cartoon for sure.
7. Family Matters - Steve Erkel was so amazing!

And since I can't think of any more here is my favorite now.
8. Grey's Anatomy
9. Ugly Betty
10. America's Next Top Model
11. The Bachelor
12. ET or Access Hollywood
13. Friend's re-runs

Well, here are some hilarious pictures from last Christmas. I don't know what got into us. We found these glasses at a Thrift Store. And, everyone loved it!
I love Thursday's. It means I get to go home after work and watch 3 non-stop hours of TV. IT's the only night I really get to do that. I cherish it for sure.

2 more weeks and then I just chill for a month and 15 days until the wedding. Saturday will be Peter and I's 6 month anniversary! Haa...That means we will be married on our 8 month anniversary. Sweet! That's the way I always pictured it.

Right now I am in the midst of trying to make programs, or better yet come up with an idea for a program. I want it to be simple but a little shabby chic as well.
Invitations will be sent out November 1st. I think I will have those finished this week. I'm done addressing. Now I just have to put them all together. I'll do that during my 3 hours of television.

I got my first shower invitation and it was so cute! I had no doubt in my mind! :) The fun part is about to start!! WOWOWHWOWO!!!!!!!! I can't wait.

Peter and I just commited to go skiing with our counselor and his wife in February! How fun is that!!!!! I haven't been since my senior year of college. So, I'm well past due for a ski trip!! Peter has only been one time. It will be funny trying to watch him be "as good as me." I have years on him in this area, but knowing him he'll school me in this area too. Oh well, it will be a fun experience nonetheless.

Wedding music. That's another thorn in my flesh. I'd like to get this nailed down by the end of the month. I've figured out that I am EXTREMELY too picky. I have 2 songs nailed down and am just trying to choose the others. Sorry guys, this part of the wedding is a secret. Everything else is public knowledge. And, NO I am NOT singing in my own wedding. So, stop asking or thinking it.

This past weekend I went to Six Flags with a few of my friends. The lines were incredibly long which stunk! But, at least it wasn't to hot outside. My legs were cramping after we left. I'm ready to go back when there are NO lines!!!

Well, I'm about done here. Peter and I are going to Austin this weekend to visit his brother and new fiance'. So, that will be fun and exciting. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Exactly 2 months from Sunday until the big day!!!!! If you're confused you can refer to my myspace for my countdown. :)

pics

Well, here are some updated pictures from my life. The first two are from Peter's birthday party earlier in September. 30 of us went to La Hacienda Ranch for some great steak fajitas and then we went dancing. Hilarious...we celebrated Natasha's birthday at the same time...
The next two are from today. I am babysitting Hunter and Becky's puppy. It's 5 weeks old. Hunter had to meet Shane and Shane at A&M and Becky teaches school until 4 something. So, I get to love on this precious puppy. It's momma ran out of milk so they got to have it early. His name is Mr. Beans. Funny! He still can't walk very well, so he looks awkward sitting on my desk.
As we speak he's asleep in his bed next to me. PRECIOUS! Nothing like a puppy....
The last one is of Peter. He's so sweet. I could just stare at him all day long. I do not deserve him at all. Dorky smile. :)
So, that's today for ya!!!!!!
